Nice pitch to end it at least, nice to see Chapman touching 100 a few times. I'm not taking anything out of that given the weather, but an easy inning next time out would sure be reassuring.

Chapman hit him in the front leg with a 100 MPH fastball, he stayed in but I doubt he plays tomorrow (based on nothing except ‘ow’).

He was hit by a pitch, but he remained in the game, so he wasn't too badly hurt.

Seattle looked poised to fade out of the playoff race entirely, but have beaten Houston three straight times to start their killer sixteen game stretch, their first three game winning streak since early July and the first time they've beaten Houston three straight times since 2014. Edwin Diaz has 45 saves already, there have only been four seasons of 55 ever (K-Rod, Thigpen, Smoltz, Gagne). They need to keep playing well and winning games obv, but good start at least.

And the A's keep winning, only 3 1/2 behind HOU now. Somehow Edwin Jackson has a 2.48 ERA for them.
