It could be my turn. Not sure. We are vacationing in the Canadian Rockies but Yanks-Red Sox is always on somewhere. Fantastic job by the team in Boston, from this distant perspective.
Yanks in Minnesota tonight. Bryan Mitchell vs. a pretty good Minnesota lefty, Adalberto Mejia, in his first year. 1.48 WHIP. Only one bad start out of 13.
Yanks need to keep getting surprisingly good efforts from the junior varsity. Mitchell has the stuff to surprise the Twins, assuming he can throw strikes.
Tell Shiner it's a great advantage to live in Mountain Standard Time. I can stay awake this way. Good luck to the Yanks, who are fun to watch, even when they lose.
David Robertson can return to pinstripes any time now. But not for an elite prospect.

Calgary Stampede just ended yesterday. Greatest rodeo show in existence. American Cowboys do most of the winning. Average attendance close to 100,000 daily for 10 days.
Just a reminder that life is more than baseball. I forget that sometimes.

You getting any of the wildfire smoke up there, terry?

Good first inning for Mitchell. Need six more of those.

Judge saves a run with an incredible throw that Romine handles perfectly too

Kepler diving catch robs Castro of the base hit and we get bupkis in the 4th

Mitchell error aside, some pretty good defense out there tonight. Judge's throw, Kepler's catch, and the play Didi just made. Good stuff.

Romine got up the line and textbook on how to block the plate too so Judge's throw was not wasted

Cooper double makes him 2 for 2 tonight and considering Bird gets a bone removed tomorrow, that's good news

Romine double that goes to the wall in Center makes it 2-1 with 2 out

For a backup catcher, Romine always seems to be contributing in a good way. Timely hits, defensive work behind the plate, positional flexibility. Lots to like.

Frazier leads off the 8th with a base hit he stretches to a double, and they promptly intentionally walk Aaron

Caleb having no luck in his 3rd inning: bloop single to Right that Aaron just can't get to and a weak grounder that Didi can't get to....

how bad a bunt?: the ball actually first bounces BEHIND the plate then dribbles maybe 2 ft in front of the plate....

Ugh, I am going to have to watch that. I am not as anti-bunting as most informed baseball followers, but 1st and 3rd with 2 outs in a 2-2 game in the 8th, you don't do it unless you're close to positive you can pull it off.
