Notes:

I assume the Pawsox game will be utilizing Bulls announcers. I don't expect Tom Caron to be flying down from Portland to Durham for tonight's game only to fly back to Boston to be in the studio tomorrow night.

Blake Swihart is expected to continue his rehab for Portland in New Hampshire tonight.

The Pawsox start their second half journey tonight. On the .com, I wrote an article on their struggles as they exit the all-star break.

Is it possible for one part to be changed that is so integral to the offense, that it breaks it? Blake Swihart batted .338/.392/.382 for the PawSox in April, but then was called up to Boston when Ryan Hanigan was placed on the DL. Certainly, the lack of offense from the catching position has been an issue in the ensuing months, with Humberto Quintero batting .240/.284/.280, Matt Spring hitting .154/.239/.240 and Luis Martinez going .130/.310/.130 during the months of May, June and July.

Nice hitting by Nava (right-handed) and Bradley against Zarate, a lhp.
Thanks so much for the links provided above which help one to enjoy the game. Also see that Swihart is batting 1.000 in AA. I wonder why he's at AA now rather than AAA.

Nava struck out his first two at bats, batting righty though.  I think he still looks like crap from that side of the plate.

I was surprised to see Nava batting right handed again. Is this a career boosting attempt?  Figuring his value is much greater if he can regain his switch hitting ability from several years ago.

As was stated Nava looked like garbage his first two times up but he pretty much always looks like garbage righty.
Also rehabbers don't generally go on the road and while Portland is technically on the road they are just in Manchester.

Edit:The broadcasters said Nava is going back to switchhitting because he got hurt left on left and never did feel comfortable that way.

Not good but at least a few years ago he used to get some wood on the ball and work some walks.  I said "ability" to hit right not "excel"at it.

Yeah, it was in this frame of mind that I expressed pleasure in the AB in which he managed to lift the ball into the area between the infield and the outfield while hitting right-handed. He's playing first, so I imagine they might be wondering if he could be any good in a platoon with Napoli. In which case, he won't be hitting lhp from the left side very often.

You have a low bar for "ability."   2012-2014 he OPS'd .578 as a RHB.
Well somebody has obviously put it in his head to try it again. Must think there's some value to it. Either here or somewhere else.

According to the Durham announcers, Nava said he hurt himself batting lefty against a lefty and decided himself that he was going back to switch hitting.  No idea if that's true.
Regardless, it's hard to imagine any/many situations in which he would face a lefty for the big club.

Nice 3=run HR by Nahver, batting from the right. This was after a called strike  was so clearly a ball that the Durham announcers commented on the bad call. I guess the minor-league umps are just as bad as, if not worse, than their superiors.

My man Roniel Raudes with another amazing SO:BB performance tonight (9:0) for the Sox DSL. He now has 52 punchouts to only 2 walks for the season

10 more hits for the fantastic four of Devers, Guerra, Moncada and Chavis - and another big night (19 overall hits) for the offensive juggernaut that is Greenville

Durham has a player named Boog Powell!?
