PawSox play a bullpen game, win 4-2.

Boxscore

Marcus Walden went two innings, allowing a run on four hits while whiffing a pair. Fernando Rodriguez struck out four in his three perfect frames. Ty Buttrey yielded an unearned run on three hits while striking out one in the sixth. Bobby Poyner whiffed a trio in his two perfect innings. Ryan Brasier struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth.

Jordan Betts belted two singles and a double while drawing a walk in five jaunts. Mike Ohlman and Rusney Castillo each contributed a pair of singles in five matchups. Ivan De Jesus had a single, a walk, and was hit by a pitch in his three appearances before giving way to Mike Olt who struck out twice. Mike Miller mashed a double in four at-bats. Aneury Tavarez and Cole Sturgeon each stung a hit in five appearances; Tavarez with a double. Sam Travis walked twice in five trips. Ramon Flores took a base on balls in five forays.

Pawtucket left 13 men on base and was a woeful 2-12 with runners in scoring position.

When Mike Olt came in for the apparently injured Ivan De Jesus, it was the first time in his 822 game career that Olt played second base. It was also the first time since 2012 that Olt played somewhere other than first or third (he played RF five times that year in the Texas Organization).

Austin Maddox yielded a solo cuadrangular to Conor Panas in the seventh which tied the game and then a leadoff roundtripper to Ryan Hissey in the eighth which put New Hampshire in the lead. In all, Maddox allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits over two frames; whiffing one.

The first of two scheduled games was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the third inning, with Salem and Potomac having failed to score. The game will be completed (weather permitting) later today.

The second scheduled (full) games for last night and tonight were both cancelled due to the weather (as the teams do not meet the rest of the first half).

Lukas lousy as Greenville loses the suspended game (from May 20) 9-6.

Boxscore

Alex Scherff surrendered a run on two hits (including a Manuel Geraldo solo shot) and a walk over his two innings on May 20; striking out a pair. Angel Padron allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over 3 1/3 innings yesterday; whiffing five. Taylor Ahearn relinquished a run on a round tripper by Ryan Calabrese and two singles over 2 2/3 frames; whiffing four. Lukas Young yielded five runs on two walks, three singles, and a Heliot Ramos homer in the ninth; also uncorking a wild pitch.

Jagger Rusconi ripped a single and a double in four jaunts. Marino Campana contributed a single and a homer in five matchups. Charlie Madden managed a single in four trips; replacing Samuel Miranda who caught the first two innings on the 20th. Lorenzo Cedrola and Frankie Rios each laced a single in five forays; Cedrola adding a sacrifice fly, Rios with a sacrifice bunt. Victor Acosta picked up a single in five ventures. Everlouis Lozada was hit by a pitch and dropped a sacrifice bunt in four excursions; he also stole a base. Michael Osinski and Kervin Suarez each suffered four sickly sessions.

Campana walks-off the Drive with a dramatic win, 5-4.

Boxscore

Kutter Crawford was knocked for four runs on a hit by pitch, two walks and six hits – including a John Riley three-run round tripper in the fourth – over five frames; whiffing a trio. Devon Fisher somehow kept the Jackets off the board in his two innings, despite giving up three hits, a walk, two hit by pitches and uncorking a wild pitch; whiffing one. Fisher left five men on base and is probably still thanking Lorenzo Cedrola who knocked down Jacob Gonzalez at third (as he tried to stretch in seventh inning double into a triple).

Marino Campana walked twice in his first three matchups before sending everyone home with a two-out, walk-off cuadrangular in the bottom of the seventh. Victor Acosta and Zach Sterry each stung a single and a homer in three sessions. Isaias Lucena lifted a single and a sacrifice fly in three appearances. Tanner Nishioka notched a single in three trips. Ricardo Cubillan contributed a single and a stolen base in four at-bats. Jagger Rusconi and Kervin Suarez each K'ed twice in three junky jaunts; Suarez did steal a base. Lorenzo Cedrola contributed only the massive defensive assist as he had four futile forays.
