Marcus Walden went 3 1/3 innings, allowing a run on five hits, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch while whiffing one. Kyle Martin yielded a run on two hits and a walk over 1 2/3 frames; striking out one. Williams Jerez gave up two hits and a walk over two innings; whiffing five. Fernando Rodriguez relinquished a run on a Nick Buss bomb; Rodriguez also gave up a second hit and struck out two in his eighth inning appearance.

Ivan De Jesus delivered two singles and a double in four trips. Mike Miller managed a single in three matchups. Mike Olt and Ramon Flores each obtained a hit in four at-bats; Flores with a double. Dedgar Jimenez yielded five runs (four earned) on seven hits – including Will Craig and Christian Kelley cuadrangulars – and a walk over four innings; striking out three. Jake Cosart surrendered five runs on five hits – including a Logan Hill longball – and a walk over two frames; Cosart whiffed three and uncorked two wild pitches. Trey Ball pitched a scoreless seventh, allowing two hits while striking out one. Jordan Weems gave up two runs on three hits in the eighth; whiffing one.

Jeremy Rivera ripped a single and a homer in four jaunts. Josh Ockimey obtained a double and a walk in four trips. Isaias Lucena laced a single in three ups. Chad de la Guerra, Josh Tobias, and Luke Tendler each golfed a hit in four tries; Tendler with a double. Jantzen Witte and Danny Mars each walked once in four matchups. Darwinzon Hernandez went six innings, allowing three runs – two earned – on four hits, a walk, and two hit by pitches; striking out five and uncorking a wild pitch. Hunter Smith navigated the final inning without damage, walking one and whiffing one.

Jordan Procyshen procured two singles and a double in three jaunts. C.J. Chatham and Tyler Hill each had two hits in three trips; Hill with his first homer of the season. Brett Netzer notched a single and a double in four at-bats. Ryan Scott and Jerry Downs dropped a single and earned a walk in three sessions; Scott added a stolen base, Downs was caught stealing. Daniel Gonzalez gave up three runs on five hits and three walks over four frames; striking out six. Jared Oliver walked three and whiffed two over the final three innings.

Santiago Espinal stung three singles in four excursions. C.J. Chatham and Bobby Dalbec each crushed two hits in three official at-bats; Dalbec with a pair of doubles and a walk, Chatham was hit by a pitch. Brett Netzer notched a double, a walk, and a sacrifice bunt in four appearances. Chris Madera managed a single and a walk in three matchups. Jerry Downs delivered a single in four jaunts. Jordan Wren worked a walk and was hit by a pitch in three ups; he was also caught stealing. Tyler Hill and Roldani Baldwin each had three faulty forays; Hill was able to steal a base however.

Greenville and Augusta made it through 1 1/2 innings before rain suspended the contest, each team having scored one run.

The game will be resumed next Tuesday when Augusta comes back to Greenville.
