Cassidy said yesterday that Kevan Miller is week to week. So not expecting him back for this series.

WIN.

1 day off isn't ideal but the blood should still be flowing while Columbus has been idle. Blow the doors off them in the first period and make them react. Win and win and win. Win it for Neely. Win it for my mom.

Don’t love Wagner for Kuhlman. Given that and Clifton’s inclusion, I suppose the idea is to go heavy.
I actually thought Kuhlman hasn't been great the last two games by the eye test. I'm sure part of it is playing with new linemates, but he's lost a lot of puck battles in important spots, including ones that led to goals. And his speed/tenacity wasn't as apparent in the last 2 games. It didn't hurt them because Coyle was a monster and Johansson was good, but I was specifically watching him and wasn't super impressed.

I don't mind Wagner there, but I wouldn't hesitate to make a change again in future games.

Agreed, TFP. I'm on the Kuhlman bandwagon for the future, but I think Wagner is a better fit right now, especially against this Columbus team. The Bruins will have to manage the puck a lot better than they did at times against Toronto, and i think Wagner is better at that currently than Kuhlman is.

I would like to see the Bruins crush these guys, but I expect more of a 6 or 7 game grind, especially given how well Columbus has been playing. I do think the Bruins match up better with them than Tampa did, though.

Should be a fun series.

Edit: Shoot, this is a game thread.... uhhhh, WIN PLEASE!

Not too worried about the lack of rest for the B's, especially given Cassidy's comment about them being a "working team" (that was a comment on their poor Game 1 effort against TOR) and how well they played the past two games.

I don't expect this series to be easy, CBJ and all their late-season acquisitions seemed to gel at just the right time. Hopefully they're rusty tonight.

Either way, win it. For Neely.

In the simulacrum
It dawns upon me, now that we are here, that I have had (until now) no idea what the fuck a Blue Jacket actually is.

I've assumed it was some strange, wunder cabinet version of a yellowjacket? Or just, you know, a blue jacket: Red Sox, blue jacket. Well apparently it is a Civil War thing, at least that is what Wikipedia tells me.

Thrash them anyway.

I like how the Bruins match up with Columbus. Bruins can play the heavy game with Columbus and have more speed and depth.

What scares me is how confidently Columbus is playing.

Putting the kids to bed now then catching up. I sit there sweating reading bed time stories as time stands still. Radio silence starts now. LFG!

Ok so let’s just be this dominant for the next 235 minutes and win the series?

Edit: Or do that and kill my buzz. I mean holy shit guys is this peewee hockey?
