Unsurprisingly, PawSox postponed in Toledo.

Since the Sox do not go back to Toledo this season, the game will need to be made up when Toledo comes to Rhode Island for their only visit. So... next week.

Just curious from a business perspective in a case such as this where Toledo loses a home gate do they get the attendance revenue of the make up game? I realize it's impractical and undesirable to force anyone to go to Toledo for one game. On the other hand it is also unfair for Toledo to lose out on a home game.

Salem shutout for the second successive day, 5-0.

Boxscore

Bryan Mata yielded two runs on four hits (including a Ronnie Dawson roundtripper) and six walks over four frames; whiffing a pair and uncorking a wild pitch. Hunter Smith surrendered three runs on six hits and a walk over 1 2/3 innings; striking out one, tossing a pitch to the backstop, and committing a balk. Jared Oliver obtained four consecutive outs; one by way of the K. Daniel Gonzalez pitched a perfect eighth inning, whiffing one.

Chris Madera managed a single, a walk, and a stolen base in four matchups. Trent Kemp knocked a single in three trips. Santiago Espinal sliced a single in four excursions. Jerry Downs delivered a walk and a hit by pitch in four jaunts. Kyri Washington walked once amid three hitless treks. Ryan Scott, Jhon Nunez, and Carlos Tovar were each hitless in three at-bats. Brett Netzer notched four hitless appearances.

While I don't have an official answer, it seems unlikely as the make up game is generally tacked onto an already scheduled game as opposed to a separate admission game. So, giving Toledo the gate for the makeup game would be taking money out of Pawtucket's pocket for a game that they already had scheduled. It's difficult to split that baby.
