Golden State is going to remember this beat down when we play here again this spring.
That guy in the barbershop quartet totally travels before he attempts to shoot.
If we’re rolling and they see this freight train coming, I think they throw the western conference finals the same way those punk ass Lakers did in 86
Am I making this up, or when GH had tha “pick six” steal, did one of the announcers say “Eli Manning”?
If not, they should’ve.
Gordon looks like he feels as good about tonight as I do.
Yabu for threeeeee!!!!
YABA DABBA DU
another prediction wonderfully right & incredibly wrong
Dubs’ worst loss ever under Kerr.
Couldn't make 40, but I'll take it. We're on to Sacramento.
Worse loss eva in the stevey kerr era
March 23 respect!
Great win, now really impress us with a back to back win on the road.
It's about time they put a game like this together.
Can Bigal just do the post game innaviews?
Yabu getting buckets is such icing
Semi getting shut out wasn't icing
Well fuck me running...just saw the score.
Great win. Keep it rolling tomorrow night.
heaven help any team that pays Boogie Cousins big money for multiple years
I was supposed to be in Sacramento tomorrow and would have gone to the game, plans changed and I wasn't too upset that I will be going on a different date with how horrible the past two weeks had been in Cs land. Now I wish I was catching that flight tomorrow...
I really like Boogie and he's coming off a pretty nasty injury still. Guy is mega talented.
A few things - the ball movement tonight was a thing to behold and the usual ISO/heroball suspects were even swinging it in addition to the good guys. That Smart pass to Hayward was straight up sick but their passing around the perimeter was just beautiful.
That said, the Warriors were very depleted with Thompson, Livingston and Looney out. McKinnie was also hobbled and was getting absolutely roasted on back-cuts and guys cutting to the basket.
Jaylen Brown continues to play some very good basketball on both ends of the floor. Tonight everyone played well but I am hoping when the rotations shorten, he gets plenty of run. He really seems to have figured things out and you could see the Warriors struggling to defend him. His first step is lethal and he seems to be finishing stronger around the rim or converting open midranges regularly.
The Cousins/Baynes/Rozier/Tatum thing was overblown but the way the guys rallied around one another is a positive sign. It may mean absolutely nothing in the locker room or going forward. However if were are looking for clues that the C's don't like one another and that certain players are detached/distanced, they weren't there tonight. Quite the contrary given the passing, assists and the tempo of play.
Finally, once the well-moneyed, newer vintage Warriors fans cleared out around the middle of the fourth, the Celtics fans got loud. I don't know if it means anything but like all Boston teams, the C's travel well. It had to be gratifying for the team to hear some clapping and cheering for the effort they put forth. I will also add that if you were listening to Golden State's flagship station tonight after the game and didn't know who they were referring to, you would swear that the commentators and callers were complaining about the Celtics with poor effort, bad chemistry and the inability to ramp things up for the playoffs. But they were talking about a team that has won the title two of the last three seasons and is stacked with top talent. The NBA is funny sometimes...
Is this score real life?
definitely caught in a landslide.
Did we finally escape our reality?
What a fine thing to wake up to. 38 assists!
I’m going to hold this team to this standard the rest of the year...
I really love watching Hayward succeed.
prophet on the burning shore
Like an angel standing in a shaft of light.
Just Ximo'd it...they looked like a team last night and not just on the court. The bench seemed to be fired up more than I've seen it all year long.
I woke up at 2:00 AM EST to take a piss and checked the score on my phone.....and was astonished.
It's about time!
The 2018/19 Boston Celtics are (19-4, .826) when Gordon Hayward has ≥ 12 points
And (16-20, .444) when Gordon Hayward has ≤ 11 points or does not play
Rising up to paradise
There was another tweet that said that the Celtics are 10-1 when Hayward has a game score of 15 or better. They're 20-20 when he has a game score worse than 10.
An finally, the Cs are 13-2 when GH scores more than 15 points and are 18-2 when GH shoots > 50%.
Wow, I didn't expect that result. It was like one of those sci fi movies where some people get on a plane and when they land they are in a different dimension.
I know he’s gonna shine....
But it's hard to ignore everything that comes with that at this point...no?
I thought the Celtics did a great job basically neutralizing Cousins early in the game by attacking him on switches and forcing Kerr to take him out for a while. When he came back in he was frustrated and just not an effective player. Without Klay, GS needed Cousins to provide scoring outside of Curry and Durant and he could never get out of the gate.
I'm interested to see what he gets this summer. If I'm a GM, I'm not committing big bucks or years to a guy who seems like he's miserable just about every time he's on the court. He'll give you 20 and 10 but get tossed because of a no call. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see Brad signing up to coach the guy. He's the very definition of a headcase. But I'm guessing someone like the Knicks will throw a near max offer at him.
Any team that pays Cousins max money is screwed long term. I felt that way even before the injury.
It works on a team like Warriors because they have all those other guys. If he's your #1 or #2? Iffy....talent-wise it's fine. Other stuff though.
A dream scenario is the Knicks maxing both Cousins and Jimmy Butler.
Dammit. I shut it off with like a minute left.
