I agree with everyone that Craig Laughlin is awful and a terrible homer (I would rank him just above Edwards and the Pittsburgh boys, but right in the dregs of the league). Not sure why people hate Joe Beninati so much. He's one of the most informed play-by-play guys in the league and does his homework. Beninati is as intellectual as hockey broadcasters generally come, in addition to being a great voice for the gig. For those who may not be aware, that was not Joe B doing the play-by-play today. That was Al Koken with Laughlin since Beninati was out doing NCAA Tournament games.
 
Edit: Out of curiosity, I googled some top NHL broadcasters lists and Beninati is in just about everyone's top-10, often in the top-5. Heck, Beninati and Laughlin make a lot of top-10s as a duo, which means that Beninati is significantly buoying their rank considering how bad Laughlin is.
