The Devils are right on the edge of remaining in playoff contention. Crush their hopes and dreams and push them over the edge tonight.

As of 9:30 AM, the B's magic #'s are:
6 over DET and 3 over WAS to clinch a playoff spot
9 over TOR to clinch a non-wildcard
12 over TB to clinch the division
25 over PIT for #1 in the conference.

I'm torn between "get these guys some rest" and "let them keep playing cause they're hot and can hopefully stay so".  Hopefully Claude can have nights where Chara rests or only gets 22 minutes.  Bartkowski has looked like he needs a game at press-level though.  He's got the physical talents, but he's been making some bad decisions, and hopefully another perspective helps out for him.

I will be at the game this evening.  Based on past late season visits to Bruins-Devils games, I expect a huge Bruins fan presence.  Fun stuff.

Now keep it going; I'm not leaving work early to watch a stinking loss so the "peaking too early" crowd gets quieted.

I will be taking my son as well, fully decked out in Bruins gear. Its been a long time since Ive done the enemy territory thing. From what I hear, the Devils crowd is not particularly volatile when it comes to Bruins fans.

His favorite player is Rask. Hoping he gets the start although its quite possible he wont

You hear correctly. There's always a nitwit risk but the crowd for the most part in Newark is pretty tame.

Chara - Potter
Meszaros - Miller
Krug - Hamilton

Bartkowski and Boychuk scratched.

Brodeur has some really bad rebound control tonight.  The B's seem to trying to fit it in just beside his hips and they keep handcuffing him.

Marchand's goal pushed him past Lucic for 2nd on the team in goals with 22. Pretty crazy considering Marchand doesn't have a single PP point this year, let alone a goal. How many teams can say their 2nd leading goal scorer doesn't get any PP time?

Jagr is still just so damn good and he's 42 friggin years old! He is in the conversation for top 5 forward of all time.

The way he holds off defenders is incredible.

Mesz and Dougie just had a very nice defensive shift.

I haven't noticed Potter too much. Probably a good thing.
he's gotten less time than all the other D-men, but he's made a couple good passes and hasn't looked lost.  I'm not minding.

Also, the 3rd line is leading in TOI right now, and both Marchand and Bergeron are <8min of ice time.  This team is fucking stacked.
