Here's the opponents.

Home
NYJ
MIA
BUF
GB
KC
HOU
IND
MIN

Road
NYJ
MIA
BUF
CHI
DET
PIT
TEN
JAX

A couple things that jump out to me:
--Plenty of options for an attractive Week 1 prime time game. There could be an AFC title rematch in Jacksonville, Brady-Rodgers or Brady-Luck/McDaniels, Pats-Steelers.

--I see the prime time game choices as these: Houston, KC, GB at home and Pitt/Jacksonville on the road. Also a Thanksgiving game possibility at Detroit. The Matt Patricia angle is intriguing for the networks.

--It's a very attractive home slate. Intriguing division games as usual plus marquee matchups with GB and Rodgers, Indy and McDaniels, a very good KC team with Mahomes, Houston with Watson/Watt/etc., and a very good Minnesota team. I think it's the best home game set in a long, long time. Only 1 dud in the Jets.

--Road trip wise, there are no trips west of Chicago which is very nice compared to this year. For fans, the trip to Nashville is something to look forward to.

My guess is Phi Minny is the opener since Phi won.

Pats Jags open the SNF slate

Pats at Det on Turkey day

Pats MNF v GB early, maybe week 4 and v Pit around Halloween and MNF @ Indy in December

Pats TNF or SNF @ Chi or @Mia early October or @Chi noon ct 4 days before thanksgiving lions game

KC and Hou are the 4pm games

Home opener v NYJ week 2
@Buff week 3

6 nationally televised games is pushing it but I think it's good for NFL

Also guessing Pit hosts the early MNF game in week 1
Rams host the late MNF week 1

I think the Pats-GB game is going to either be protected by Fox or be the SNF game. I don't think that goes to a Monday night.

I think the SNF games will be Jacksonville, Green Bay, Pittsburgh. Thursday game is Thanksgiving at Detroit. Monday night could be a road divisional game.

CBS will protect the Pittsburgh game and it will be an October or November 4pm game.

I agree with MNF being either at Buffalo or at Miami.

It's kind of amazing that in that schedule, the Jets games aren't even in the top 5 in level-of-interest (GB, PIT, JAX, MIN, IND, TEN).

Goddamn, I am sick of the Jets.

CBS can protect a game it has from being flexed to SNF, but that's it right? Short of complaining and/or asking nice I don't think they can stop a game from being scheduled in prime time.
