Kraft is apparently a father again.

According to Page Six, apparently Patriots owner Robert Kraft has become a father again at age 76.

The report says Kraft's girlfriend Ricki Noel Lander, 38, secretly had a baby in the last year. The two have been dating for five years. There were rumors the two had broken up, but Lander was pregnant and did not want to be seen in public.

A Patriots spokesman declined comment to Page Six by saying, "This is a private matter.”

The report adds Kraft is “taking full care of Ricki and the baby" and “Bob is fully supporting the child. There is a lot of tiptoeing around the subject at the Patriots offices. Everyone is afraid to openly talk about it.”

He bought her a Los Angeles mansion, as well as made some sizable investments on her behalf. Kraft's four sons are said to be anticipating the family trust being changed.

Kraft's long-time wife Myra passed away in 2011.

Maybe we can cobble together the healthy parts each has remaining and get something really good.
They’ve taken shots before — e.g., Haynesworth — and they’ll take them again. And particularly if Gronk for whatever reason is out of here, they may really have to. A good amount of need, limited cap and draft resources.

Odell Beckham's camp has put out reports that indicate he wants to be paid $20 million/year. Given his antics over the past couple years will the Giants pay him big money long term? Given the Giants many needs could they actually trade him for a package of high picks?

Doesnt you post answer your own question?

IF he has been a nutjob to the point the Giants dont want to risk paying him big money long term and decide to look to trade him, why is another team going to trade a "package of high picks" for a guy that wants to make alot of money long term but is kind of a nut job.

If the Giants do think he is worth alot of money and a long term contract, then they woundnt trade him.

I guess it only takes one but I dont see it.

No my post doesn't answer my own question. OBJ is not getting $20 million from anybody so let's throw that out now. Other teams all the time think they can "fix" a player if they get him in their system if he's talented enough and OBJ fits that bill. The Giants have to weigh the cost of keeping him long-term on a losing team versus trading him and speeding up their rebuild.

Would the Niners be interested and do they have a lot of cap space?
Beckham and garofolo within sixth months of each other would be a hell of a job

Here
How about because his base salary is over $10 million and they have about $13 in cap space and still need to sign a bunch of guys?
They have about 35 million in cap space in reality, after the cuts come, maybe more if they extend Cooks and/or Brady. But Quinn is still too much.

John Dorsey may have mission impossible so far as FAs are concerned. Cleveland reportedly is not on Cousins’ winnowed list:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/03/report-kirk-cousins-list-down-to-four-teams/

The Jets are, and to my mind this just underscores the point. Cousins is a son of the Midwest. In every respect, he is not a NY kind of guy. He could be plug-and-play for Cleveland, who could then devote their two high picks to a monster RB and top defensive player. Bring the Browns back to solid respectability, well short of a title, and you’re a legend in Cleveland. But no, if Schefter is right ...

The Jets are hardly a model of stability, but the Browns are emblematic of what a near 20-year tire fire will do.

The Jets might be there just to up the money he'll get from the 1 or 2 teams where he's actually considering going.

Maybe, but I think we have a shot. Minnesota is the best football scenario but you have to live in a freezer.

Cousins is reported to like the Jets OC.

Denver and the Desert also good places to live. The Arizona situation doesn’t appear great but forecasting that is hard. Denver might be slipping too, but they still have an edge over the Jets.

I’ll be an instant Cousins fan if he signs with the Jets but I’m not 100% that paying this guy 30+ million a year is a great team building move.

I don’t know how reliable this guy is, but Schefter’s four teams are about to be reduced to two:

My guess if he’s right — Vikings and Jets

As an avowed hater of the Broncos and Elway*, I am rubbing my hands with glee.

* - Actually I loved Elway the QB, my favorite to watch play of all the HOF-level quarterbacks aside from TB12. But as a person, a GM, and a car dealer... no.

$10 million increase from last year. According to Miguel, the Pats currently have $14.6 million in cap space.
So 35-40 million after Bennett, Branch, Allen, McClellin, and a few others cut (Dorsett? Britt? Ghost? Ryan Allen? Fuckhead? Gillislee?).

Ditching Fuckhead saves about 950k, but we kept fellow second round nobody bum Shithead around his entire rookie contract, so I’m not holding my breath.

Video was great. Just what the doctor ordered.

Next season is coming. Pats are preparing for it, they'll likely get some good players via free agency and the draft, and hope not to lose too many good ones.

Brady's still healthy, Edelman will be back (and with any luck, High and Gronk too), and before we know it, there will be OTAs, boys weekends in Wyoming, and then training camp will start in mid-July.

Let's GOOOOO!!!!

Shockingly Bob McNair doing Bob McNair things.

I spoke with two NFL agents this week who said word is the Texans aren't interested in any players who participated in pregame kneel-downs in protest of police brutality.

There is no directive within the organization, but it is considered to be understood that as desperate as the Texans are to bring in talent, the pool of potential signees and draftees will not include anyone who has participated in protests or are likely to.
There are many who believe if McNair could field a team with all-white, all-conforming all-pro talent, he would.

Miami too:

The dust has settled. It’s unfortunate, but the fan bases have spoken and the owners are following, and so are the players, eventually. The anthem protests were bad for business. If they weren’t, we would not have this.

Is it worse for business to have a shitty team? Would that be the result if the players ignored the owners' warning and the owners started cutting/not signing the non-conformists? (I don't see the players doing that as very likely, but it's an interesting thought exercise).
