Giants must have decided to throw that game for draft purposes. Down a point, you get a kickoff return to your own 48. 25 yards or so for any kind of FG attempt. Barkley in the game. Pat Shurmur goes incomplete, incomplete, incomplete, incomplete and loss. Dallas blitzed on every one of those downs. Why on earth do you not run Barkley on ANY of those first three downs? You have 2 timeouts and 1:12 to go. As far as I am concerned, that's a fireable offense. Total incompetence.

And, unfortunately, even with that loss, Eli finishes the season at 116-114 career W/L record. Assuming he's out after this year, that's still probably good enough to get him into the HoF, whereas 115-115 might have kept him out.

I agree...honestly, like I said I was hoping Dallas was going to lose to further hurt NY's draft standing, but winning that way was pretty damn satisfying.

Namath was actually a dominant AFL QB before his knees crumbled.

Opie has never been a top 5/dominant QB. I believe the only stat Eli has led the league in is pics.

But the SB wins, stat compiling, NYC media hype, and Team Manning, probably gets Opie in.
