What a stupid fucking facemask. IDIOT!
Oh wow. What an error.
Payback PI and then a TD. That ended up being a solid sequence for Ohio State.
I wonder if MD scores, will they go for 2?
You have to admire the student athletes that Urb has assembled into a team.
Win or lose, the committee has to take into account that Ohio State even got to this point. That is now two mediocre teams Ohio State has struggled with, which should itself be disqualifying from the playoff if Clemson, Bama, ND, and the Big 12 winner win out.
LOL. That was quite easy for Maryland.
Ohio State's defense is worse than a high school team.
It obviously depends on other teams, but I don't disagree with this. The Nebraska game and this game are ridiculous.
Terps going for 2. Don't like this decision.
Going for two never works.
McFarland having a day.
Going for 2 isn't insane. If they get in. And they are in.
HE WASN'T IN EITHER. These refs are laughable.
They didn't review. LOL.
I agree with going for 2, but a pass play?
Going for two literally never works. He was wide open, though.
Good job Twerps.
It's all kind of moot since Michigan is going to absolutely eviscerate this team.
For nostalgia's sake, I'm going with "Maryland beats Ohio State 45-45"
The conventional wisdom seems to be that if you are the underdog you have more of a reason to go for two. I think it should actually be the reverse - if you are the underdog you should try to draw out the game as long as possible and make the other team take care of its business. If you are the favorite, though, I think it makes more sense to want to step on the throats of the opposing team with your talent advantage.
(Going for two especially makes little sense in this instance because Maryland was having its way with the Ohio State D - it's not like they got lucky on that possession and didn't think they could score again.)
What a joke in the Michigan-Indiana game - they talk about protecting players, but the allow a play to go on when the QB is wrapped up, being thrown around, with a defensive player laying on his lower leg.
Thought the same thing. Not calling the QB down there is telling the defense it needs to pile onto a vulnerable QB in the grasp. But then knowing this crew, they’d have flagged Michigan for a late hit or targeting had a player done so.
Embarrassing showing for Syracuse. Completely.destroyed their progress.among casual fans, among NYC fans, and among national voters and bowl chairs. Awful.
Absolutely craptastic weekend of SU sports. Well, if they beat BC next week they're still going to a really good bowl, and this year was tremendous progress, but man what a beating today. Hard to believe this is the same team that should have beaten Clemson on the road.
Tell that to Texas
Indiana is playing their Super Bowl tonight and playing about as well as they can.
Refball has started up. Well, two fouls withdrawn.
Refball started a long time ago. The no-whistle tackle of the QB. The no-flag delay of game at the end of the first half. The no flag on the obvious cheap shot on Winovich.
Guess I was about half watching.
I haven't watched much Syracuse this year, so how big a loss was Dungy? I couldn't really tell if DeVito sucked because he sucks or because of the ND D.
The leading wide receiver in college football, Andy Isabella, of the UMASS Minutemen, had 15 catches for 217 yards and 2td's against #5 ranked Georgia. The kid is fucking awesome. He had over 300 yards receiving a game 2 weeks ago.
Everyone needs to put it on ABC for the pokie vs moonshine finish.
Wisconsin/Purdue heading into the 3rd overtime at 41-41. Jonathan Taylor has 274 yards rushing for Wisconsin. Crazy game.
And about as dirty as they can.
So fucking stupid not to use a timeout there.
CLOCK THE FUCKING BALL AFTER THE FIRST DOWN. WHY ARE TEAMS SO FUCKING STUPID?
West Virginia is going to run out of time and go into the locker room with 2 timeouts in their pocket. That is fucking unconscionable.
Wisconsin wins in third OT 47-44. Taylor finishes with about 320 yards rushing and I think, 3td's.
LOL at WVU.
Yes, deplorable cheap shots. They just put a guy on a stretcher with a targeting hit. He's now strapped to a gurney.
And West Virginia runs out of time, even though they still had a timeout in their pocket, and 2 more downs to use. Not using the timeout after the first play of the drive cost them about 20 seconds, and then not clocking it after getting the first down cost them another 5-6. They should be sitting at the 14 yard line with 2nd and 10, and about 30 seconds to go. Instead, the game is over. I don't understand how big time college coaches and NFL coaches don't understand end of game clock management yet. I just don't understand it.
Ohio State is going to somehow sneak into the playoff.
Braylon Edwards little brother.
Fortunately, he was moving his legs
Not after Michigan rolls them next week.
Saw him play in high school. Three years ahead of my kid. Fox now says he’s probably ok. The bodyboard and neck brace were precautionary.
How? Beat Michigan, win Big 10 jumps them over everyone to #4? Best case, #5 and the Rose Bowl.
Texas up17-3 at halftime. Should be 28-3. That’ll bite them when ISU scores 35 in the 2nd half.
Oklahoma loses to West Virginia, Wazzu loses to Washington and Georgia loses to Bama.
and now Ehlinger isn't starting the half...
Maybe because he is 65 and has not coached for two years?
Not to suggest 65 should be the end of the line. Belichick is 66, Saban and Pete Carroll 67. But if the trend is younger, Miles can’t afford to wait much longer. It will be fun to have him back.
