Wait, I don't understand this. If he can fair catch anywhere with the ball going to the 25, why was the ball placed at the one in this situation?

Damn, and now a huge break for Ohio State. Should have been a safely, but was a TD.

93 yard TD run for TCU. Their offense looks legit.

This is a damn good September matchup. Always fun to see a top 5 team paying on the road in a hostile environment. Both teams are impressive.

I love college football officiating---there is a no-doubt replay that QBs knee is down in end zone, somehow they rule 'no safety' in Texas-USC game.

    Pathetic.

I can’t believe that wasn’t called a safety even after review. And I’m a Texas fan.

Followed by a roughing the punter. Unreal.

The roughing the punter was legit, at least.

But for USC...way to squander. though as it turned out, not a huge loss for them

It's been fun but a bit strange. Almost 600 total yards but the score is only 14-13

That was one of the worst non-reversals you’ll ever see.

If Texas had a qb worth a damn they’d be winning by 10. But they don’t and they’re going to lose 8 or 9 this year and I hate everything.

If Texas and TCU win, it will have been a good weekend for the Big 12.

Didn’t the TCU player just fair catch that on the 1?!

SC is terrible. Texas might win by default.

New rule this year is you can fair catch any point inside the 25 and you get the ball on the 25.

Texas has been outscored like 130-21 in the 3rd under Herman. They don’t make adjustments. USC will win this game.

I understand that if you expect the worst, anything better is a matter for celebration. But, Texas isn't that bad.

    I miss Allie and Verne

FU CBS for not agreeing to terms with the former.

At least will be another good thing to the start of the NBA season.

I am going to love to listen to ESPN radio tomorrow to hear the callers moan and complain about USC and the USC punter...

(yes ESPN radio here in LA is the HOME of the Lakers, USC, and LAA)....

In related news, UCLA down 13-0 to Fresno St., at home.

Good thing the city got the Rams recently.

Northwestern is losing at home late in the 4th to ... Akron.

What a terrible day for the Big 10.

I’m a UT fan and that non-reversal non-safety was egregious. Really sours the game for me.

Ehlinger looked great throwing and OK running. I think OL and lack of a Cadillac RB sets them back in the Big 12 race though. So far this year including tonight they’ve looked way too tentative on the run.

Keaontay Ingram is absolutely a Cadillac RB. Hopefully he's healthy for TCU.

Some excellent drama to end the night. ASU on the verge of coming back from two scores down in the dying minutes. Dude just caught a bomb on the SD State 2 with maybe time for one or two more snaps, down 28-21. Six seconds left.

Whoa. And the aforementioned pass was ruled incomplete, but the SDSU guy was tossed for targeting. So, the Fightin' Herms get one more chance from the 35.

Batted down in the end zone. Aztecs 28, Herm Devils 21. Good game.
