For sure. My blood pressure will be high enough tomorrow, let alone for a possible Game 5.
This is bigtime
I don't want David fucking Price starting game 1 against Houston
No, but if bad things happen I think we're past that argument for placing blame.
Absolutely. Plus a game 5 against the mfy isn't good for my already high blood pressure.
How ironic is it that David fucking Price was our best pitcher against Houston in last year's playoffs?
Some idiot just called WFAN saying he caught the ball Holt hit for the HR and threw it back on the field. He had his son with him! Give him the ball stupid - so what if it was a Sox homer? And later you can get something for you and your son for that ball which is historic. He was too busy teaching his son to be a poor sport by throwing the ball back. Complete and total tool.
Did Brock end up with the ball, or maybe some Cooperstown agent?
Out of the pen.
If we make it to the ALCS, I wonder if Cora will consider using Price as the long man and put EdRo back in the rotation.
Forecast here for Thursday not looking good so win it tonight
I'm going. I chose to go tonight rather than last night because tonight is winning time. So I doubly endorse this message.
I woke up almost not believing that the Sox won Game 3 16-1.
Oh, and please start Brock at third tonight, Cora. Piping hot bat, and Nunez was just too shaky on Saturday night.
this pretty much solidifies the Brewers NLCS Game 2 as the early Saturday game.
blame for what? Severino got fucking shelled.
By the way, what happened with him? He's been shit since the ASB. Teams get the book on him? He wearing down?
Sending Severino out for the 4th, going to Lynn instead of one of his four top relievers and being a moron in general.
Only the worst dumb garbage MFY fans could have been sticking around at that point. They cheered when a pitch got away and almost beaned Vazquez in that last RS at bat...
Here’s the Yankees fan flashing the signs, I’m pretty sure the second of the three is the same white power hand sign that got the Coast Guard worker in trouble. Apparently this guy thinks at least one of the other two was as well.
Hmm, I saw that last night and thought it was some sort of douchy gang sign. Turns out I was half right.
Crazy that Brock had three of the 5 XBH. That’s 16 runs the hard way.
A nice paraphrase of Kubler Ross in the NYT today:
"What began as a rambunctious crowd at Yankee Stadium — mockingly cheering David Price during introductions and roaring just before the first pitch — found itself transitioning through several stages of grief on Monday night.
First came anxiety, followed by despair, which gave way to disbelief and anger and, finally, resignation." https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/08/sports/yankees-red-sox.html
Let's put 'em through depression and acceptance tonight...
I like Beeks (despite the rough MLB start, you can't fake those AA and AAA results and peripherals), but I give his whole career up gladly for that one start of Eovaldi alone.
When the Sox lose I sleep 8 hours and wake up tired. I slept 3 hours last night, and I feeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllll GREAT!
Ugh. What is wrong with people? I mean, who roots for the Yankees? Also, the guy standing up on the right in the striped shirt kind of looks like Pedro, which bothers me.
For anyone who cares, MLB Network is replaying last night’s game. Right now, it’s the third and Sox up 3-0
Coming in *really* late here, but I’m back-reading this thread and just wanted to say how much pleasure I got from the post on page one about how confident the fans the writer was observing in Manhattan were. These are the things that make life worth living.
I thought that was Tyler Austin.
I disagree. I think Anderson is fine and Ron Darling is one of the best analysts in the game.
Why? He has no beef against Austin Romine. Why is everyone confusing Austin Romine with Tyler Austin. Austin's father Kevin played for the Sox in the mid 1980s.
We do it for you: the fans.
We’ll have to agree (maybe) to disagree. I think Anderson is terrible.
The more I think about this, the angrier I get. If this were in Boston, there would be outrage. Someone (@ChadFinn ?) should ask Yankee Stadium security if they are aware – and if so, what they plan to do about it.
