I love Ryan Reaves, but this is crazy town in the most wonderful way. One year of Reaves for Kostin. Insane.

His ranking on various lists goes from 51-120. Some have him as a late 2nd, some into the 6th, but most seem to have him early 3rd.

Based on the reports he seems to have very good speed, is great at faceoffs and is a good two way center. Only had a 0.81 ppg pace, but lit it up in the playoffs for 15pts in 11 games. Seems like another reach, but they must have really liked the player. Since they didn't have a 3rd they had to decide on him then.

He's also pretty slight and needs to add weight, so he's another guy to watch next year. Seems more of a longer term project that could pay off in 3-4 years if he gets size and improves his production.

Had a chance to watch Cedric Pare numerous times this past season including all his playoff games and the Memorial Cup. Hard to tell with him as he was playing on a team loaded in 19 year olds, 11 of whom had been drafted by NHL teams. As a result he was the centre of the fourth line and in some games did not see a lot of ice time. So this season will be a big one for him as his leadership and talent will have more opportunity to shine.
