I'm sticking to what I've said all week that we weren't drafting at 3 to keep the player. It sure sounds like some things are about to go down or fall through. One GM angle is that Pritchard knows Ainge has to speak about the player and is holding out.....knowing that this doesn't HAVE to get done tonight. Game of cat and mouse.....I say it gets done maybe not tonight though. It could be held up waiting to see if Ainge's guy is there at 18 too.
You really think they're trading #3 for a huge gamble on PG?

Did you guys know that Woj account from 20 minutes or so ago was fake?

And those ball caps the draftees are wearing are fucking hideous.

Well it isn't going to be Butler, so you think we're shipping Tatum for PG13?

Wilbon when the Butler trade was announced: "Good haul for Chicago."
Now, an hour later, "the Bulls got fleeced."
Right. What is he doing there, anyway? The layoffs were so deep they have to get a guy who hasn't covered basketball in forever on the set?

Everybody knew, well except for the moron who fell for it. Not naming names.

He's not a bball head but he is calm and a fan. I think he's fine. He sort of gets to play the role of fan asking the experts and again, he's doing a fine job.

This is the most relevant clip i can find from last year. Danny spoke after the draft. I cant find anything about him talking during it after Jaylen was picked.

You guys are much bigger fans of Wilbon---I liked him as a columnist but I feel he started mailing it in a decade ago preparation-wise.

Yeah I mean, it's mildly surprising they didn't have SAS on in some capacity.

I think the player at 18 matters a lot to Ainge. I feel he has someone he is targeting there and there are other pieces to a deal to be negotiated. Maybe it's the 3 or maybe he's holding out to give up less......I'd be shocked if Tatum wasn't involved in these discussions though or else the Celtics would be welcoming him.

I also think you are underrating George and the amount of money he'd be leaving on the table to jump ship next summer. Ainge has full confidence that George, like many others, would fall in love with Boston once he was here if he buys in. Sure it's a risk.....but that is why Ainge replaced the draft pick when he traded with Philly. Even if George walks we have the Lakers or Kings high lottery pick/possible #1 pick.

He's turned into a crotchety old get off my lawn guy. Kornheiser has made fun of him on various podcasts for it. Anything stats related he hates.

Nobody signed autographs after they were interviewed in the arena. Mitchell stopped and signed 10-15.

TBH I know they are an easy target and have done some really dumb stuff, but I think the Kings have done an okay job acquiring young talent last year or so.

Getting to where I'd like to see Celts try to trade back in to take a shot at Giles, even with the cap questions about chasing a max guy

Can someone explain the trade logistics here? Why are the Bulls basically picking for Minnesota? Is there a reason the pick wasn't traded?

Won't George be looking for a similar 2+1 deal or whatever it is that Haywode is looking for this year? So he can then again hit the open market as a 10 year vet? I don't think the money is all that different

The draft isn't over why would Ainge be giving a press conference?

Edit: Directed at those reading into the radio silence.
