Terms of the deal: Jets get WR Jermaine Kearse and a conditional second/third-round pick; Seahawks get DL Sheldon Richardson.

Right; the worst QB season ever from the same guy who had the game of his career vs the Patriots in 2015 in Denver that cost them HFA in the playoffs.

So this moron will always have that going for him, which is nice.
Plus a SB ring and $37mm. Not feeling bad for him.

Bengals OT Eric Winston released by the Bengals. Could be had for a vet-minimum+ and would fill in as a rotational player, although he's way past his prime.

Also should be noted he's the current NFLPA Player President. Whether he gets another job will be interesting for that reason. He is well past his prime but given the state of OL and T play generally, he should be able to find a vet minimum job as a backup at the least.

Sammie Coates and a 2019 7th from the Steelers to Cleveland for PIT's own 2018 6th back.

I read Denver expects Shane Ray to be IR-DTR. But then there's that rule about landing on IR today means you're not eligible to return. Weird.

Kudos to Elway for building a team whose best hope is claiming a QB who has been let go by two different teams in about six months.

This is the smallest part of it. The real problem appears to be drafting Lynch (saving Jerry Jones from himself). If Lynch doesn't pan out, barring a miracle from Kelly, they have no QB.

Now that Lynch may be out for 5 weeks, Broncos risk the chance of missing the playoffs.

Don't forget, they not only drafted Lynch in the 1st round, they traded up to get him.

Elway has made some good moves as a GM, mostly with FA signings, but he's made some bad moves, too, particularly in the draft. Obviously, he's very fortunate manning fell in his lap with the perfect storm, which not only helped with getting a franchise QB, but probably helped with FA signings, too (players wanted to play for a contender/with Manning).

Had the Manning miracle never happened, it'd be interesting to see what his GM tenure would look like.

Is there a bigger homer among NFL writers than Mike Klis? I guess Manish Mehta might be...but it certainly isn't a long list
He's not only a homer, he's not very bright and doesn't seem to have real inside info. In short, he's horrible.

As an example, when the initial reports that the Broncos might part with Ward came out, he was on local radio claiming that the Broncos were fielding calls left and right and would only part with Ward for a high pick.

I think Elway has done well.

But with all the usual caveats about injury and so forth, aren't they no better than 3rd in the AFC West? And doesn't that mean they don't make the playoffs unless every other division sends only 1 team?

That's certainly possible, and maybe reasonably likely. But certainly not more likely than not.

Holy shit. There's another Korean-born player who made it onto an NFL roster. Meet Younghoe Koo -- newest punter for the Chargers:

I believe he's the first full-Korean since Eugene Chung (he lasted EIGHT years in the NFL so piss off). Hines Ward was half-Korean and half-African-American. John Lee only lasted a year as a kicker way back in 1986.

Fun fact I: Speaking of, Eugene Chung's son Kyle is an OL for the Hokies. He'll most likely go into teaching as he has only logged 11 games played as a returning Senior this year.

Fun fact II: Another Korean kicker may be drafted soon. Former #1 ranked HS recruit and current Notre Dame kicker Justin Yoon was the ESPN Freshman All-American last year.

Fun fact III: did you know that Bruschi is also half-Asian? His mother is a Filipino.

The Rams managed to cut both Michael Jordan and Willie Mays. That will devastate their pickup hoops and sandlot teams respectively.

There's also this hilarious snafu piggybacking on the kudos tweet.

Larry Fitzgerald wants defenders to hit him high rather than take out his legs (reducing big hits but increasing risk of knee/leg injury), and offers to pay their fines if they do.

Gronk, needless to say, should not merely do the same, he should pay someone to fly a plane billboard over the stadium each week with his offer.

Browns curse already in effect with Myles Garrett. Suffered high ankle sprain in practice yesterday and is out a minimum of 2 weeks and likely a month.

Sources: #Browns are expected to release S Calvin Pryor just a few days before the opener after a fight with a teammate before practice.
