I wouldn’t say 4, but at least two. Last week and the Tampa game immediately come to mind as “Bad Cutler” games. TB game he had like three turnovers in the first quarter, and last week was a combination of poor location from the very start coupled with turnovers. Probably his worst game as a Dolphin, following his best. That’s the pendulum known as Jay Cutler.

Having the Phins +12.5 as the third leg of a three-team tease... was the most exciting backdoor cover of my life.
The season is over. Miami drafts 11th in the first round. I would say the top need in the first round should be LB Roquan Smith, an athletic linebacker than can cover TEs and RBs. Short of that I would go guard or DE, but the torching of the D by TEs, especially when you see one of the best in the game twice a year, has to stop.
So who goes? Or maybe easier to ask “who stays?” These are only locks, IMO

Two things. Jones was not bad. Not even close. Jones is who he is. He’s an elite SS. He’s a run stopper and blitzer first and has his limitations in coverage.
The problem is Miami got basically two of the same guy. McDonald is a decent safety, but neither he or Jones is a true FS.
I can see Miami drafting a LB or safety in round 1 and trying McDonald as a hybrid S/LB next season. That’s where he does his best work. Let Reshad be the SS, and get a true FS.
If they go with a LB, they can keep with the safeties they have, but it has to be a really good cover guy like a Roquan Smith.
Derwin James and Roquan Smith are my top two guys I would love to see in Miami. Combine them with McMillan coming back, and this defense can make a quick turnaround next year. I’m also really high on the development of Howard and the potential of Tankersley. Lippett will be in the mix next season as well.
