Always a risk. But hopefully 90+% of energies are devoted to the final game. If it were me, with some multi year deal, how is 10 days of recruiting when the best are all ready signed going to matter? Finish strong at your old program, look good. Coach what ya got and start recruiting early for the following year. "Hey did you see i led UCF to an undefeated season? Let's talk what I can do here."
Seems like he wants to do that.

I would rather have a bad loss and several good wins than no bad losses but literally no impressive wins the entire season. Alabama's resume is a joke and Auburn getting blown out today didn't make it any better.
Ohio State, if they win, would have 3 wins over the current top 25 which are the same as Alabama. OSU's wins are ranked higher of course, but their resume is not so far and above Alabama's to make their 2 blowout losses obsolete. They lost by 31 points to a team that finished 7-5. Alabama's loss is to a top 10 team on the road. It's going to be a close call between Alabama and Ohio State if the score holds.

Can we just skip the big ten and Alabama this year? This sucks
Come on, now we can have the argument about how much we need an 8 or a 16 team playoff, when we are sitting here trying to find a 4th team that deserves to be there.

I wish UCF had made it a bit interesting by putting up a big 2 way performance today.

I'd much rather watch 62-55 than this

Oh absolutely no doubt about it. But I don't think that game put any pressure on the committee to select them.

I watched some of that game, do we really believe they would be fairing any better than Wisconsin or Miami if they were in these games tonight?

UCF puts at least 30 to 40 on anybody , but anybody decent can score on them. They're like a misbegotten Big 12 team

The thing that sucks is that if there was ever a chance to have a “UCF” like team make it, this is the opportunity. No legit #4. But it will never happen.

Nope, that's fair to say. I wish we got to see though, I think underdog stories like that are interesting to see play out against the big boys. I'm not a huge college football fan, but Boise State beating Oklahoma is an all time great experience that I watched

I dont think with the current system they sniff #4 even with 62-0. Which is too bad. Maybe we get a play in game ala MLB! UCF v Ala / tOSU for spot 4.

I mean that may have been one top 3 CFB games all times or possibly the #1 game ever in CFB

edit: as a pure entertainment spectacle

Comeback plan for Wisconsin right now:
--23 play TD drive taking 12:30 off clock
--three and out by Ohio State
--27 play TD drive taking 14:30 off clock
--victory
Lol so sad but so true. Only missing the 'no forward passes' part
