Just catching up. I’d like to think that Jarmond is smart enough not to overreact. Happy for the kids. That Dillon play was out of this world.

Louisville has lost 6 of their last 10 right? So they are not even that good of a team right now other than Jackson.. Don't want to take the luster off the victory though. It's still a big victory for BC though..Can Bernie update the stats please?

Ok. Nice win. Both defenses were gassed in the 4th quarter. For the record Dillon had the highest rushing total of any FBS player this weekend. Daz is now 2-27 when trailing at the half.

The good news? They put up 45 points on a P5 opponent. Have not come close to that since 2014 when they scored 37 against USC and 30 against Penn State.

The bad news? They gave up 42 points and were outscored 21-17 in 4th qtr. Also it should be noted that of the 6 Louisville scores, 5 came on plays of 20+ yds,aka “chunk plays”. When teams get in the open on this D, they gain huge yardage.

Brown banged up his shoulder so not sure what that means, if anything. I would not start Wade unless Brown can’t play. Wade cannot throw an out pass at all and he sails his throws. He does that against any decent D backfield and you’re looking at pick 6s all day. There is a reason he is not the starter. He’s not a good QB.

It was Dillon’s coming out that’s for sure and the o line played like we have wanted for years. Let’s not go nuts tho. It’s only one win against a punk program that is quitting as its season was tanked the week before. Next week against UVA will be competitive. I still think it’s winnable but would not be shocked if BC loses. A real pick em game. But it is nice to talk about a legit win again.

Yeah this is unexpected, dare I say they actually look somewhat...explosive? Never thought I'd say that about a Daz team.

My delight over this performance is tempered by the fear that it may save Dazz his job.
I am deeply conflicted as well. I really would like the underclassmen to shine yet each victory means Daz is one step closer to returning. Maybe if they lost each game 45 to 42 it would be enough to satisfy both my urges..Does any other BC fan feel like RIP and I ?

So did Daz have a George Costanza moment in the the last two weeks? “Oh was I supposed to be beating Power 5 teams? That was not clear at all...my bad!”

These two wins should bring a little buzz for BC. Should be favorites to beat FSU at home on Friday night, then get NC State at a good time with a bye to prepare and NC State coming off @ SBCC and Clemson. 8-4 is definitely on the table. Does that get us a bowl game somewhere warm?

I am with you guys. Hopefully, the AD will have the same mentality that DD had with Farrell.

I hate Daz with a passion but if he wins out, then he has at least earned consideration. More than likely, he’ll go 6-6 and that is not good enough in Year 5.

Have to say it was the most complete game in all three phases since Daz has been here. They are now 24-2 when LEADING at the half in the Daz era as opposed to 2-27 when TRAILING. That takeaway is that everyone should head into the stadium for the first half of a game and then hit the tailgates/bars, etc for the second half.

UVA looked totally overmatched all game. Hard to figure where they got 5 wins but BC is beginning to make a statement that’s for sure.

As to the future, no one on left on the schedule is unbeatable. As stated above they get FSU with three losses and coming off a loss at ‘Ville, a bye then NC State, UConn and ‘Cuse. All but Syracuse are in Boston so there is no travel. Could they go 8-4? Sure but they don’t do well at Syracuse so 7-5 May be a bit more realistic with 6-6 most likely.

Still not thrilled with their D despite yesterday. They are playing 3 teams with good offenses. If they go 8-4 they will be in the hunt for a decent bowl ( my feeling is the Pinstripe against maybe Michigan, Minn or Nebraska?). Otherwise they end up in Annapolis against an AAC team (UCF, USF, Memphis, SMU??).

If they get bowl eligible Daz is still around. But decisions will have to be made after next season. Daz will only have 2 years left on his deal and you really can’t have an effective recruiting cycle when the HC has less than 3 years on his contract. Not good long term for the program. I think we have seen enough of Daz to know what we have. His ceiling is 8 wins and he hasn’t got that yet.

Daz needs more than bowl eligibility to stick around. Everyone is bowl eligible these days.

We will see who they are on Friday night. I am hoping they really have turned the corner. I'm convinced the gym teacher could recruit the hell out of an 8 win team.

I'm pretty excited for the game tonight. Yeah FSU is having a crap year, but they're still a really talented team so this will be a good test.

Good start so far for BC. Score early on a trick play. Then after giving up a trick play for long yardage, they jump on a fumble inside their own 10 to get the ball back. Really like what I'm seeing out of Brown. Looks so much more comfortable in the pocket, which may be due to how much better the offensive line is playing.

I do have to take issue with ESPN though. After going on and on about the Red Bandanna game, and planning to show the viewers the story in stages via prepared video clips, throughout the game, the very first "chapter" gets started, and then inexplicably gets cut to commercial. WTF?

Brown to Sweeney 14-0. BC gets the ball at midfield after a great defensive stop forced FSU to punt from their end zone, and Brown leads them right down the field.

Yeah everyone knows that's Dillon is a monster, but Brown is starting to look like he's going to be a very good QB. And Kobay White could be a damn good big play receiver.

After giving up a long pass play, defense stiffens again and picks off FSU in their own end, and now Dillon busts one on the following possession. BC already in field goal range, looking to add to the lead.

Did we ever find out what happened with Michigan. Did they really want this kid to play LB? If so, another fail by Harbaugh.

Because I said it before. Dillon is a program changer.

Touchdown BC. From the 5 yard line, Brown rolls out and backpedals to about the 15, can't find anyone, splits the pass rushers, turns on the jets, and gets into the end zone. Great decision, sick execution. Kid looks filthy. 21-0. 6 minutes left in the 1st half. This could be an ass whooping. They are in complete control.

BC has 3 legit skill players in Brown, Dillon and White. It's crazy to see this. And Sweeney is finally living up to his potential.

It's hard not to buy that this is for real at this point, and they actually look really talented. They're pretty big, fast, and really athletic on both sides of the ball.

I posted this over on EA but is it possible that Daz had his Dabo moment? In a moment of desperation he finally gave the reigns to Loeffler to run his offense.

Daz wouldn't even have gone for that in the past. Yeah it didn't work out but at least you have the opportunity to make a play and step on the throat.
