Just more to the pile of evidence showing that if you actually ask BB to talk football, it is hard to get him to stop...

As for the context of how it unfolded, the opening question of the call was about the effectiveness of Patriots punter Ryan Allen, which Belichick had answered coming off Allen's strong performance in Sunday's season finale. When a reporter who had not been on the call initially asked about Allen again as a final question, Belichick decided to take the deep dive with a six-minute answer on the fine points of the position and coaching it.

I know it is in the other threads, but this has to be posted here.

Asked if TB12 would be a gametime decision, BB's response: "Today is Friday."

Plus a classic "we're getting ready for Jacksonville" - which would have been the response to any questions starting with "looking back," triply so with anything about Jimmy G...

Just gave a death stare to a reporter asking if the game plan was adjusted due to Brady's hand. The reporter rephrased it to something about Brady adjusting based on the injury. BB: "Look, we're not talking about open heart surgery here".

Belichick about not scoring in the first quarter of Super Bowls: "We try to score in every game. I know that's probably hard to understand."

I've seen a couple quotes from today. He seems cranky (the other one was the Gronk "I'll make sure you're the first to see the injury report" one). But man, this one is awesome.

Is there a link to some of this awesomeness? I'm out of market and would love to see the videos.

Why do they even ask him this stuff though? This isn't his first year. They keep asking him dumb questions you know he's not going to answer. Come up with better damn questions!

He didn't even seem that grumpy until the reporter pushed the question, either. Dude asked for it.

He’s probably cranky because they’re in the stage of prep where they’re dealing with tickets and travel, etc.

Reiss asked perhaps the dumbest question I've ever heard from him. He's pretty good, but he basically asked whether they would do anything differently based on the fact that they haven't previously scored in the first quarter of the Super Bowl. Belichick was only mildly sarcastic and said they try to score and keep the other team from scoring and the past has nothing to do with next week. Anyone but Reiss and I think we might have had much more for this thread because there wasn't even a question really.

Jim Schwartz recalls asking BB, on his way to coaching his kid's soccer team, how much he knew about soccer.
BB: "More than a four year old."

4 of 5, which is "unacceptable"

To which I say perfection is unattainable, but if you strive for it you will find excellence.
