Nick Chubb is just a complete freak of nature. After blowing the shit out of his knee last year, in his first game back he goes 32/222 and probably launches himself to front of the Heisman pack.

Best players I've seen today? Nick Chubb for UGA and Ed Oliver for Houston. Oliver is the most athletic DT I've seen in a long time. He lined up over the nose and tackled a back on a bubble screen for a 4 yd gain.

Alabama has a true freshman QB handing off to a freshman RB and throwing 70+ yard TDs to a freshman WR. Against USC, not some directional state school.

I mean, seriously.

Kudos to Saban for setting dues-paying aside and putting his best 22 guys on the field. Not easy to do on a defending national champion.

And for those of you who really, really can't get enough, the Northern Illinois at Wyoming game has been delayed by lightning, scheduled now to kick off at 10:19 p.m. out here in the MDT on CBS Sports Network. Who's with me?

QB run isn't as effective in obvious run situations.

And now we see why Swoopes doesn't throw often -- missed a wide-open WR in the end zone by at least 5 yards.
