True, but basically they only go 6 deep - those 4, plus Jones and Jefferson. So depth is an issue and partly why they are awful on D - can't be aggressive due to potential foul trouble. They also basically suck at defense, that doesn't help either.

They were actually better at the beginning of the year before Tatum, Giles, and Bolden came back.

And yes Allen isn't starting due to injury.

I can't see a 1. 11-7 in conference. Just hasn't felt like anything close to a 1 seed type of year. But if Duke wins tonight I will be pissed if they don't get a 2. If they lose, I think a 3.

But then you also look at the shitty losses to Syracuse and NC State and are like, "Is this the competition they couldn't handle?" Which is why Duke won't jump UNC for a #1 seed. UNC won the regular season crown, a more meaningful accomplishment than Duke's possible tournament win, and they finished what, 2-3 games better?

On its own, the case for Duke as a 1 is strong until you factor in UNC and the fact the ACC won't get two 1 seeds.
