The Slums of Shaolin
I’m proud to announce that our 2014 PGA $ League Draft will be held in 2 weeks, starting on January 16th.

That gives us a little over 3 weeks to get everything done, which should be plenty of time based on last year’s draft.  I will start a draft thread with the random order on that day.

Everyone who was involved last year will be allowed to sign up again, but if 2 or more people drop out we are going to cap the league at 20 participants.  I am sending PMs to everyone to let them know to state their interest in this thread.

To be officially in, you’ll need to paypal $100 to JohnMD20.  His paypal address is comas.john@gmail.com.  Please attach a message to the payment with your screenname so we know who is who.  A lot of people who won money last year decided to carry over, so some may only need to make a partial payment, or some may need to pay nothing.  Please work it out with him as he graciously accepted the League Treasurer position again ;)

John will post in this thread with a list of participants and who has paid.

For those that need reminding, this is a results league with weekly and year end payouts.  Every week will yield a $50 payout to the winner, while the 4 majors will be $100. We draft 8 golfers, Serpentine style.

When the draft comes, people can feel free to PM me their cell numbers, e-mail addresses and what not to be notified when they are up.  It will be similar to last year.  We''ll give someone 24 hours to pick (ftr nobody took that long and most rounds were finished in a day)

Here is the point structure, with one change from last year (top 25 instead of top 20)

The points go as followed,

Winner 15
Playoff Loser 12
2nd (plus ties) 10
3rd-5th (plus ties) 7
6th-10th (plus ties) 5
11th-25th (plus ties) 3
26th-cut line 1

For the match play, even though its once a year, points will be:

2nd round losers 1
Sweet 16 losers 3
Elite 8 losers 5
Final 4 losers 7
Runner Up 10 (12 points for extra holes)
Winner 15

This is what I have for people who rolled over. Unless otherwise noted, the people listed are in for their $100. I am confused about AirborneSas. I don't think I paid him but he won $150 last year, so he's rolled over plus $50. Airborne, please correct me if I'm wrong. If I am not wrong, let me know how I can get that $50 to you.

Yeah, I'm in. How could I miss being around for your annual Auerbachian steal of the draft. Can't wait to find out who this year's Dustin Johnson will be.

We had 2 people drop out but everyone else committed so we'll go with 20 guys this year.  Sorry to those on the waiting list.

Ideally everyone will be paid up before the draft.  Lets try and get that done.  JohnMD20 will update the list of people who have paid.

John, you'll get $ from me through paypal on Thursday.  I'll be sending you $175 to cover me and RandyWatson for the year.

John, can you email me your address so I can send a check again?  I don't do the paypal thing.  Greg @ janianlaw.com.  If I'm reading this right, I owe $75 ($25 rollover).  Right?
