Pretty much all the OL are going higher than expected except Tiny Richardson and Morgan Moses.

Mo Alexander was a "big S" I had as an option for the Pats.

When did C become OC? Is there another center position that I'm unaware of?

It's like the Patriots don't care about other teams boards. Stork would have been around 100 picks later.
How can you possibly say that after the OL we've seen drafted already? Guys like Britt and Schofield were all "projected" as 6th-7th rounders, too.

Maybe; you have to remember that the draftniks are especially unreliable once we get past second round or so.  The Pats have vastly better info on how guys grade out for other teams than we do, so we really have zero idea where someone like Stork would have gone.

Also easy to imagine Pats (and I'd guess other teams) feeling like once you get to Round 4 there just isn't much 'value' other than drafting the guys you believe in, too.

I dunno, the Bengals traded up to get Bodine a couple picks later, so they were hot on a center. Easley and Garopollo would have been gone within a few picks had the Pats not taken them either.

OG as offensive guard bugs me too. Original gangsta, not as much.
How about 'PK' instead of 'K'?

Punters still have position abbreviation integrity, bless them.

I'm hoping this is sarcasm or that you've never paid attention to the Patriots draft under BB. Logan Mankins, Sebastian Vollmer, Tavon Wilson, Duron Harmon all say hi.

Doesn't this basically support what he said?

Seattle 3 for 3 in guys I wasn't even close to expecting.

Cassius Marsh for some depth at LEO.

edit: watching the Seahawks war room and Pete can't sit still.

edit2: Hawks calling in pick 111 right now.

edit3: No, it's yet another trade, to Cincy this time.  They might end up with the most picks in this draft at the rate they are going.

Cassius March is going to be a monster in that defense. Nice Pick.

I am very excited about the Raiders getting giant NT Jelly Ellis and large CB/FS Keith McGill.

At this point in the draft, I really wouldn't pay attention to where NFL.com or Mel Kiper has a guy rated, esp. for guys on the offensive and defensive lines where there is so much more to evaluating a player than just his film and measurements (can he convert to another position, does he fit our scheme, is he a better player in our scheme than he was in college, etc). If the Pats like Stork, they shouldn't wait another 100 picks to take him just because NFL.com says so. I'm willing to trust that the team knows how to evaluate these guys a little better than the draft "experts" and have a better idea of where they should be ranked.

The Pats, especially, are really good at knowing what the other teams are thinking and where they have guys rated (Easley and JG both good examples of this).

Yes, that's why I said I hoped it was sarcasm; he lead with "It's like..." indicating surprise. I guess he was trolling and I took the bait.

Hey man--never lose the wonder of getting to view all things Belichick. ;)
