That is crazy to think about.

Remember when Claude only played veterans and never gave the young kids a shot?

Tonight, the average Bruins defenseman will have 87 games played on average.  Boychuck (297 GP) has roughly 55% of the experience.

Bartkowski(60), Miller(22), Hamilton(81), Krug(58) and Warsofski(4) pull down the numbers quite a bit.

Hopefully tonight isn't a 2/6 PK effort because of the understaffed blue line.

Chara has 8 PP goals this season to lead the team. Krug is second with 6. They have 13 and 12 goals, respectively.

Chara is tied for 10th in the league in PP goals and Krug is tied for 30th. Among defensemen, only Webber has more with 9. And Chara and Krug are doing it in two completely different ways.

I have no point other than the fact that this is awesome.

Yeah, it's fun to look at the heat charts.  All of Chara's PP goals are below the dots but one which was scored right at the dot; 4 of Krug's 6 are above the dots.

What's really crazy is scrolling back through Chara's PP goal locations and comparing to this year.  From 2009-2012, he scored only 2 PP goals from below the dots.  8 goals was the most he scored in that span.  He's equaled that already this year and in a totally different way.

Claude's gonna feed Boychuk LSD and tell him that all the Blues are David Booth.

There will be no survivors.

All I ask is that he merely stun Backes and ShatDueces as we will be needing them for the good of America in short time.

The Blues are very good, but they seem to have a penchant for blowing huge leads. They've done it a few times, especially with Halak in net. Even if the B's go down, I think that if they keep playing their game, they'll have a chance to get back in it. Ottawa scored 3 third period goals to tie up St Louis' last game.

Wear em down, knock them out.

Pretty good episode of Behind the B on now. It's mostly Cam and Chiarelli lounging around watching the Chicago and LA games in an executive suite at Caesar's Palace in Vegas. It's great. Cam's fired up for each and every game.

OK now Ray Bourque is feeding some tool what looks like ziti carbonara (don't know exactly what the dish is, sound is off as my wife is skyping with someone) on my screen.  What the hell is going on?

ESPN tells me this game is on NBCSN but it's not?

I can't find it either.  I was thrilled all day knowing I could watch this game tonight and that rug was pulled out from under me.

ESPN sucks.

Am I wrong or has he been real weak on the glove side lately?

I think you're right. Maybe even more generally, he's been weak high.

The Bruins are getting so many golden opportunities, but they keep fumbling the puck and losing control or misfiring

I'm ok with them breaking up Boychuck v Oshie there.  I think every NHL ref is probably under strict order to not let any olympian fight at all.

Boychuck has to use his fucking head. He's the only defenseman with more than a partial season of experience dressed tonight.

Seems like it's one of those nights. They've outplayed the Blues for the most part, but are taking a dump on the ice each time they get anywhere near a goal. Pucks going wide, lots of blocked shots, passing when they should shoot, Krug fumbling the puck with the top half of the net open, Campbell whiffing on the rebound of the Halak misplay, etc.

Not to mention if Campbell had scored it wouldn't have counted because the puck was "tied up".... apparently by the face-off circle.

I think we've learned Soderberg is a center. Man has he looked fantastic during this stretch as a C.
