Both teams played last night and had to travel. The Caps game ended later than the B’s. So we’ve got that going for us.

Would be nice to keep their scoreless streak going, but on the other hand we always struggle to score on Holtby - perhaps we will get a replay of their game against the Rangers last night....

I will be in the barn for this one. Pretty sick of watching them lose here for the past several years. Due theory in play this evening. Otherwise my son has his Xmas shank ready for Holtby and Wilson.

Noticed this in the box score from last nights game- Chara played 18:10, lowest among the D and 8th overall (Pastrnak and Marchand played more).

I have to imagine this is the first time since he’s been here that he has been last in TOI among D, not including any injury or high PIM games. Real nice not having to lean on him to play such heavy minutes all the time.

I noticed that in the postgame recap as well. His minutes have been declining in the last few weeks and its been leading to more quality TOI from him. People have only been asking for his minutes to get cut to help give him a breather for what, three seasons now?

Going to be interesting what the Bruins do as far as extending him beyond this season.

Rested Chara is a good defenseman. I also think they've been playing with comfortable leads, and that has let Cassidy give Chara a breather on playing time. Its also nice because its giving more developmental time to the rookies (and they're showing good progress from it).

If I know OCC, the fans sitting around him absolutely hate him right now.

Heinen with another awesome puck retrieval in the corner. He is really good at the little stuff like that.

Just got in from work, pleasantly surprised.

I'm tempted to say Nash should be 7th Man this year. He has been awesome.

That's gonna be a close one. Krug probably made enough contact to nullify it.

Yeah you never see it in the net. This isn't a goal.

Why don't they roll tape far enough to show where the puck was retrieved from? Puck was surely in the net - driven there by a Capitals DMan. Oh well....

That was kind of like gravity - you can’t see it, but you know it’s there.
