They've been sleep walking all night, even up 3-0. Heads out of asses time boys.

The Bruins would like to kindly invite me to shut my pie hole.

Brick is correct, they were in danger of losing control of this game when it was 3-2....and then proceeded to go up 6-2. Great 3rd period.

Yeah, they did not show up at the beginning of the period.

Spooner's night...14:34 TOI, 3 assists, 6 SOG, 1 hit, 1 giveaway, 1 takeaway, 53 seconds of PK time. Impressive night all around.

Edit: And 50% at the dot, which is impressive.

No. Way faster, way shiftier, not nearly as creative a passer or crafty as a player overall.

Fingers crossed that Spooner's career arc is similar to David Krejci's. Similar AHL numbers, gets a chance in 2ns pro season due to injury and never looks back.

If they ever get Loui back and playing at the elite level he's capable of playing at,, then they can roll out a lineup of:

Marchand - Bergeron - Eriksson
Lucic - Krejci - Iginla
Soderberg - Spooner - Smith
Paille - Kelly - Campbell

That is ridiculously deep.

That 4th line is a borderline 2nd line on a lot of NHL teams and would be an absolute nightmare to play against offensively (meaning they'd be great defensively).

Between Smith making such an impact and Spooner looking like the real deal, it's nice to know there's very little reason for Chia to wade into the always ridiculous rental market come deadline time. If all goes well, Loui and Kelly will be the midseason acquisitions this year and the B's get to keep their first rounder while competing for another Cup. The usual trade targets (top 6 forward and especially puck moving defenseman) simply aren't there.

Remind me to fly on Christmas again. Easiest day f travel ever.
Also, the Goose Island brewpub at the Chicago airport is very sub-par.
