New gamethread for tonight? Just to post the following:

This reads like something posted at 1:43am on a Saturday night.
I was going to start it this morning, but got caught in some things. In fact, it didn't hit me that I forgot until I was listening to the pregame show on the way home from Star. My apologies.

This is our first chance to see rookie sensation, Seth Jones, up close and on NESN. He took a puck to the face recently:

But should be ready to go today.

It's a good opportunity to get two points. Let's take 'em.

Honestly that's not surprising to me. Bartkowski has regressed lately and I think Warsofsky has played well in his limited time, especially on the PP.

I for one welcome our new Ryan Spooner speed demon overlord.
Assuming full health, I think Spooner needs to be a regular.

Lucic - Krejci - Iginla
Marchand - Bergeron - Eriksson
Soderberg - Spooner - Smith
Paille - Campbell - Kelly

That is a bad bad bad goal to give up. Great finish by Fraser though.

That was the exact same play as the goal on Sat night.

Very impressive puck movement from Warsofsky and Spooner

God, it's weird that I love a player whose college team I despise. I probably hurled pejoratives towards him and his teammates while he was Miami. Now, he's making himself a stalwart on the this team. It's strange, but a good strange.

Turns out the PP is much more effective when you don't hold the puck for 10 seconds and instead move it quickly and accurately. Who knew?

The movement and quick passing on the PP this year is 300% improved from years past. It's remarkable to watch.

I also love putting that 3rd forward high middle to force the PK to collapse down. It's created a great deterrent and outlet to any sort of hard pressure from the PK, which is what they had the most trouble with.

And you accept Krug's defensive lapses because of what he brings to the PP. He has been a huge factor in getting the PP on track.

B's were a bit sloppy in their own end that period, they need to manage the puck better. I'd love to see them blow the doors off Nashville and head into the Christmas break with a full head of steam.

Sorry, but that was an awful call. It didn't even result in any kind of a turnover, did it? Refs want to get the hometown a little boost. Welp, you did it, guys. I hate it.

Brutal missed trip on Soderberg out front too.

Some great response shifts here though.

Yeah, they call that lame hook on Bergeron but miss the Soderberg trip that took away a scoring opportunity. Frustrating.

I was looking at PP numbers earlier, and the Bruins have the fewest power play opportunities in the league by a wide margin. Entering tonight, the B's had 97 PP's. Next up was the Avs with 106 in one fewer game played. Must be a reputation thing, the Bruins are big and strong and therefor you can do whatever you want with them.

The Caron era cannot end soon enough. Just a brutally lazy shift from him on that goal.

2nd time this year they've had a 3-0 lead after one and ended up in a 1-goal game in the 3rd.

B's have been very sloppy with the puck in their own end.
