You could never have convinced e before this game, with Kyrie out, that Rozier would only take 7 shots.
Most promising was they couldn’t hit a three in the first half and still scored almost 60 by taking it to the bucket
Pelicans had the best player on the floor. We had like the next 6. Morris, Tatum, Brown, Ojelelye, Williams, Rozier all with solid games.
Great win!! Morris was outstanding - he has a bit of a PP vibe to his game Theis the only - (-4) after his amazing +50 Saturday The depth on this team is sick!
I am such a psychopath about this team that part of me seeing RW PRODUCING just makes me angry all over again about the Giddens pick. In all seriousness, Time Lord was a great pick.
Jaylen ended up 4/7 from 3 for 19 points. He also had 7 boards (3off), 3 assists and a block. +10 in 25 minutes. MaMo was 5/8 from 3. So, they combined to go 9/15. The rest of the team was 3/24 from deep. For me, the most impressive stat of the night was still the total rebounds. C's won that battle 51-39 without Horford, Baynes, Yabu, etc. against AD, Randle, etc. Even more, the C's had 14 offensive rebounds to 6 for New Orleans. Coming into the game, New Orleans was the 4th best rebounding team in the NBA, C's were 11th. That's just straight effort, and the introduction of TIME LORD to the world.
I was not able to catch the game but I like the result. This team is a lot of fun to root for. Keep the train rolling.
The course correction from where things were to where things should have been all along has been exhilarating.
This team went from almost feeling like a chore to watch to the absolute joy they were last year in what seems like a split second.
I mentioned this in the summer but no one's going to be able to convince me that Brad wouldn't take a first 8 of Smart, Rozier, MaMo, Theis, Yabu, Semi, Wannamaker, and RWill to the playoffs.
Horford / Baynes / Williams Morris / Theis / Yabusele Tatum / Hayward / Ojeleye Smart / Brown / Dozier Irving / Rozier / Wanamaker That is just an insanely deep team.
