Hey we won a big one!
Idk what happened but that was a completely different team out there tonight. I’m pumped.
Great win. Saw the second half, they finally looked like the team we all expected. Keep it going for multiple games please
So this might sound a little outlandish, but it seems like some of the C's best games this year have come when one of the top 6 guys (Hayward, Al, now Jaylen) has sat. Would it be completely crazy for Brad to much more liberally give guys games off? Like, basically sit one rotation guy every night? A tighter rotation most leaves guys less worried about getting their minutes/shots, guys can know ahead of time when their night off is coming, and keeps guys fresher through the season. It gives Brad a chance to see different 5s for longer stretches each game so he might actually figure out what his best lineups are for playoff time. It's probably one of those things like the 6 man rotation that sounds great in theory, but could never work in practice... but is it just crazy enough to work?
Mamo was great.
Easily Horford's best game of the year.
Kyrie took over when it mattered, after having a sloppy first 3 quarters.
Tatum had a rough 1st quarter and was great thereafter.
Marcus was awesome from start to finish. 40 minutes (led the team by 5 over Tatum, nobody else above 32) and he only took 8 shots, 2/5 from 3. That's the way he needs to play every night.
All about the ball movement. Quick decisions. Shoot, dribble, or pass, I don’t care, as long as you do it quick and with a purpose. Played all night with a purpose.
We are on to Cleveland. I know that a few weeks ago, that would be a much needed balm but they have been playing better of late. Osman and Sexton are really coming into their own and Thompson, as usual, will give the C's all they can handle down low. And that isn't a veiled shot at Thompson's dating life either.
NO never held a lead after 2-0...
Oh, and I forgot Baynes. He does all the little things you want from a big man. Plays hard defense, works his ass off for every board, etc. He gave the Celtics multiple extra possessions, not just via offensive boards, but because he got fouled fighting for them, or because he was able to tip a rebound that another teammate then grabbed, etc. He was awesome.
I like that line up too. Jaylen, Hayward, Baynes, Rozier and Theis as a bench unit is pretty damn good too.
1-0 in the Marcus Smart (not playing like a punk) starter era
checking in to say this was the most complete, most consistent game of the season for the guys in green. just about everyone played hard on defense, rotations were excellent, and there were very few horrible possessions.
more of this.
Could you unveil that non-shot. I'm not too up on my NBA gossip.
Thompson cheated on his wife while she was in the hospital having their kid.. or at least had pics of him and another woman posted on Instagram.
edit: his wife is Khloe Kardashian.
Not that it matters in the least, but for unnecessary accuracy, they aren't married.
Or, Cs hit 19/39 from 3P (48%) and NO gives up 22 TOs.
I'm not a gambling man but I would be willing to bet $ to Jimmy Fund that Cs don't lose a game this season where they shoot over 40% from 3P and force over 20 TOs.
Ball movement leads to good shots. Good shots lead to more makes. More makes leads to more time to set your defense. A set defense causes more TOs.
It’s the circle of life.
