Figured I'd get this thread fired up a few days early. Promote some discussion, etc.

Minnesota is a pretty good team with a very good goal differential, so this will be a better test for the Bruibs on the road.

8:00 games are the worst.

I can dig on a 7:30 game. That extra half hour is nice to get home from work and get dinner going and have some time to settle in before watching. Or get home and be able to have 10 minutes to chill before getting dressed and heading to the game. And the game is still done and you're home at a decent time and can have a snack or watch something on the DVR or whatever and unwind before bed.

But for some reason that extra half hour to 8:00 just really ruins everything. You have awkward amounts of time before or after dinner. Or you have too much time to sit around before going to the game. You get home late and it's bed time but you can't sleep because you're still in HOCKEY mode. Away games are better but still.

Death to 8:00 games.

Beleskey was on T&R this morning and he apparently hit himself in the face with a puck in practice somehow? I missed part of the story when my radio fuzzed out for a bit during the interview so I'm not exactly sure how it happened. But will be interesting to see what he looks like tonight.

I pity your plight.

Pasta lost parts of his 2 front teeth and the B's instagram account made a Dumb and Dumber joke a while ago, but I think this most recent incident is post-that.

Wouldn't something like reducing goalie pad size need to be collectively bargained?
The PA was involved, there was a group of 4 or 5 goalies that were working with the league on the new equipment. I forget what the deal was with the new equipment and the manufacturers, but for some reason the manufacturers weren't able to get the equipment out for testing early enough.

Hayes doesn't have much time left. He's been reduced to a healthy scratch when the team had their full complement of forwards. Vatrano's due back in a month, which means someone has to go. Add in guys like DeBrusk, Cehlarik and Heinen playing well in Providence, and I think Hayes is on his last run with the B's for a bit.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to unclog the kids bathroom toilet, only to finally realize that the reason wasn't a gigantic turd and excess toilet paper, but that my 9 year old step son was out of toilet paper and instead of calling for a new roll decided to use the paper towels that had been left in there after cleaning the bathroom earlier.

And he still doesn't suck as bad as Jimmy Hayes.
