C2 gave up 35 and 37 points in the 2nd and 4th quarters. Brad might want to re-think how he matches up with the Bucks when they go heavier with starters mixed with their second unit.

Another step for Hayward especially early. Tentative late and could have iced it with a three during a flurry that came up empty for the C’s.
    But he’s on his way.

There's so much talent on the Celtics. When Brad gets it all running smoothly, this team will be unbeatable most nights. They are on their way to the Finals.

So true. It's funny how it's accepted with the NBA. Can you imagine this phenomena in baseball? "Yeah, that JD Martinez. He's a good hitter, but it really helps that he gets 4 strikes per at-bat, and they move the fence in 50 feet every time he bats. But he is good, though."

That is insulting to his actual talent. Dude is a future perrenial MVP candidate. And it ain't because of the refs

So then maybe he should be officiated like everyone else, instead of treating him differently.

In the last 3 minutes of the game, I can think of one play where he blatantly traveled and ended up getting a three-point play out of it and then cleanly blocked and got two free throws out of it.

He's a perennial MVP candidate already. He's helped immensely by the way he's officiated, though.

The better analogy might be fruitbat. His cutter is devastating and he's a remarkable pitcher, but if the umps give him a slighter larger strike zone, he's nigh-unhittable (unless you're Bill Mueller).

I thought so, too, and then I re-watched and it was somehow just two. I’ve never seen someone cover the ground he does.

Jordan, James, now The Freak all got carte Blanche refereeing. The association takes care of its marquee products. Not a surprise.

I’m just thankful that the Freak doesn’t play in NY or LA. The games would take 6 hours to finish.

Yep. 6/11 18 points, 3/5 from 3. In 26 minutes. Also looked great running the offense and not forcing it like other dudes at times.

Celts are a little chippy after the game. I like it.

At some point everyone on the Cs is going to have a big shooting night and they are going to score 175.

Hayward is a great passer. Insane what they’ll be able to do when he is all or most of the way back physically and everything starts humming. The cross court stuff he was seeing is simply on a level beyond any of the team’s secondary ballhandlers.

Tatum drilled a couple threes tonight. Needs to completely toss out the iso stuff when he’s out there with the starters. There is always a better shot to be had with this group. Catch and shoot open threes, drive on closeouts, use your picks and get into your move. If they know you’re going to settle it makes you so much easier to defend.

Seemed like bucks defensive game plan was to collapse on guys driving to the hoop and thus leave the pass back out for a 3. Celtics took what that were given and did well with it.

Still I think the big thing missing is consistent scoring in the paint.

It opened at -3.5 and that was where I had it before the line went lower. Pretty crazy ending for the cover on that one - thought it was lost for sure.

I thought this was by far his best game as a Celtic. Before, it seemed as though he was being nursed back to health at the expense of the team. Against Milwaukee, he was a real contributor, worthy of being a starter on this wonderful team.

Multiple players commented that they were happy to see the defense the Bucks had decided to play, which allowed them so many open looks.
