It would have been better to strike the black hole of suck that is Christian Vasquez out. Whatever. One run isn't winning this game.

Plus they added Cole at #2 and have a way more reliable back of the pen.

He ended that inning fairly well. Hopefully he'll straighten out now.

    Severino owns Bradley. 5-26 with 13 K’s.

The pitch count doesn’t matter much, they only want 4-5 innings from their SPs before Betances or someone else.

    I think he's out.

He didn't bunt it far enough to get a hit.

Why does Andujar always swing at the first pitch? Drives me crazy.

Sevey has no command tonight. Never a good thing.

This is all Sox right now. Severino is his no-strike throwing version of himself. He won't last much longer.

Footing isn't great. Cutch sort of circled that ball and Betts had his mind made up heading into second. He's a great base runner.
Single for Bogey. Not good. First and third. The one out was a liner to left.

I agree with Jon about Boone on this, he NEVER just pulls someone or is ready to do so, always with the coach conference and the pull is always late

Why is Lynn just now getting up? You could tell in the first that Severino had nothing.

Need some offensive action to stay in this one because Boston might just keep scoring.

Red Sox playing with energy and urgency plus their pitcher is throwing strikes.

I can handle losing to Boston because they are such a good team, but it drives me crazy that Nathan Eovaldi owns us. He fucking sucks.
