It's going to be Britton and Chapman, Robertson in reserve if one of them loses it.
Another nice AB by Brett.
Playoff Gardner rules.
Remember Flash Gordon puking in the bullpen in 2004? Ah, the memories.
Nice play by Pearce.
Come on Britton, pound the strike zone.
Britton is so filthy and hard to catch that I think hard about a defensive replacement for Sanchez.
Can't say I'm not a little nervous about 6 outs from Britton and Chapman. 4 runs doesn't seem safe
if you get one of Mookie / JD, you should be good.
it don't come easy, none of it comes easy...
You can't walk him! Make him put it in play.
Someone remind me where we got Hechevarria from and who we traded.
trust your infielders man
One more, come on.
Nothing worth getting comes easy.
That was horrifying.
Didi makes it look easy!
Didi looking like a long snapper back on the last throw there, hah.
You must have the wrong channel on, Shiner!
They got him from PIT on the last day of August for the famous 'cash or a player to be named later', he spent a lot of the year as TB's SS. He can't hit much but he sure can field, NY's infield defense all of a sudden gets really good with him and Didi and Gleyber all in there together.
I thought Didi wasn't going to get him at second!
Time for Judge to beat Gary, 500 maybe?
Yeah, that force play was scary close (the second out, not the third), agreed.
Lets make it granny proof.
The replay overturn spooked you.
I would let Romine catch Chapman in bottom of ninth.
Shit I just do not like Chapman against Boston.
sorry I stopped believing that protestant ethic bs long long before Trump & Co made a complete mockery of the sentiment...
Nobody left in Boston's bullpen?
Now this is Stanton time.
Oh, I was thinking about Ringo Starr's song.
BOS 1Bs have bailed out Nunez from about 4 errors tonight, seems crazy they think he is better than Devers.
Stanton is completely lost at the plate. Waving at 93 mph fastballs.
OK, Chapman, time to actually close a game against this team.
Fasten your seatbelts. It's Aroldis Chapman in Fenway Time!
3 outs to go
A stress-free Chapman performance would make this a very positive night for the pinstripes.
Throw strikes, Chapman.
Chapman looked great against Oakland. Let's see that again.
Completely agree. Worried it won't work out that way.
He's shaking off that knee...Here we go.
"well he is our closer so fuck it" is not a good strategy.
99 on the black, two more.
Beautiful! Take this home for Severino. Beautiful game. Sox looked sloppy and bored.
Proved me to be a big baby! Again!
There's a chance now
