Subban needs a sports psychologist. You cannot be whiffing like that and expect to be a professional goaltender literally anywhere.
I was at the 2 Providence games and that sequence was damn near exactly the same as those games. He just seems to lose focus and isn't prepared for another shot. The talent is obvious, the mental approach looks like it will hold him back if he doesn't do something.

Result of McQuaid being a fucking moron and cross-checking a Minnesota player into Krejci.

But yeah he went straight to the room

Subban booed off the ice. Guy behind me mouthbreathing about how Subban brought this all on himself. After a critical larynx injury.

This will probably be fairly unpopular, but the goalie in me was thinking at this point you are probably better off trying a little harder to get Subban to play the full 60 minutes. The kid has now been pulled in his only two NHL starts, his confidence and value will (hopefully) never be lower. Its a first round pick, and you really don't know when he'll be back in there again...sacrifice the game and see if the kid can show you anything at all.

Subban's been pulled in his two NHL starts because he's been a disaster in each. 19 shots, 6 goals in his NHL career.

He's a mess. And he's probably never gonna make it. Crazy to say after 2 starts, but Christ, the fucking guy can't even make it 30 minutes into a game before falling apart. Blaine Lacher was Terry Sawchuck compared to this fucking guy.

I somewhat agree, but they also have a game tomorrow night that McIntyre likely starts.. Getting his feet wet in a low leverage situation now isn't a bad idea.

I can't completely disagree, but that's what they should have done in Providence. Yanking him down there served no purpose. He needs to learn to battle through a few softies.

And we all thought that defense would be the problem. Krejci has been invisible and Spooner is a big negative if he's not producing 50 points a year. They have had a lot of injuries, a little more continuity in the lines should hopefully help.
