Jesus Wilson basically jumped him - and then Miller kicked his ass.

What a shift from the Bergeron line. Unreal effort.

Needs to be a short bench the remainder of this game. No Spooner, Vatrano, Schaller, Hayes. 4 days to rest after the game is over.

Nice.

I shit on the guy as much as anyone, but McQuaid had a strong game, especially after Carlo left and the minutes increased.

Bergeron had 73% possession marched up primarily with the Crosby line. Crosby was -11 Corsi. Bergy is so damned good.

B's held Pittsburgh to 23 5x5 shot attempts all night. I know Pittsburgh didn't have Malkin or Letang, but that is an awesome showing.

They've still got an uphill climb for the remaining 30 games, but maybe this small 2 wins in a row lets them settle in, take a breather, and get ready for a good push coming out of the break.

No, I'm pretty sure Bergeron is having a shitty season. That's what I read anyways.

Edit: all joking aside- that shift with about 6 to go in the 3rd when Bergy's line just held Crosby's line in the zone for a good minute+ was sublime.

That's what makes this season so frustrating - even accepting that their corsi is artificially inflated by low percentage shots, their expected goals and shot suppression should have them at or near the top of the conference.

My other major concern is that they're burning through Tuukka at an alarming pace. He's at 41 GP right now. Last year at end of January, he'd played 36 and still burned out down the stretch. I don't place that on Claude - Rask has all but 1 win for the B's this year.

Given the whispers around Tuukka's ego, I'd be surprised if that ended up working - but I'd like to see McIntyre play one of the first three coming out of the break for sure
