He put Schneider in a blender right there. That was filthy.

I thought Schneider looked a little off after the second goal, wonder if he pulled/tweaked something.

We don’t just want the Devils beaten, we want them dead or maimed. And linesmen too while we’re at it.

Yeah, not sure about that one.

As an aside, as much as I enjoyed Claude's rampages on the bench, I also like the way Cassidy grins at the refs like they are morons while he is yapping at them, too.

Goalie should be pulled here. Catching a break.
I kind of disagree on this. There's a lot of time left, and pulling the goalie would allow the Bruins to potential score by just icing the puck any time they get possession. If it was a 2 goal game, I would agree completely, though.

straight up elbow by Marchand, somehow I’m not shocked

Tough to tell intent but it sure don’t look good on replay

Winning when not playing your best is the sign of a good time.

Of course, getting points in 17 straight is a sign of the same thing, but I digress.

Brutal night for NJ... losing presumably Schneider, Johansson, and maybe Severson (did he come back?) for the near term

Very clear. Same kind of unnatural move you see when Draymond Green goes for a kick in the balls and the like.

Tuukka was absolutely immense tonight. He basically stole them at least one if not two points.

Not a great effort but every 2 points helps at this point.

Think the only thing he can say is that he didn't see him and was trying to avoid the goalie. Which might even be true. But yeah, he'll get a game.

Between here and everywhere.

With his history, he'll get 2-4. And I think he deserves it. I've watched the hit a bunch of times and even the biggest homer in me can't find an explanation for what he did that isn't "he was attempting to elbow the guy."

This is who he is. An amazingly gifted player who sometimes lacks impulse control.

Oh yeah, I think he meant to and said 1-3 when I saw it live. Just trying to think about what he might be thinking.

Like the least most important thing ever but how would a multigame suspension work out with the all star game? Can a suspended player go?

My only thought watching it on replay is that he's focused on the puck and out of the corner of his eye he sees Johansson coming in hard. He knows the majority of the time he'll get cleaned out there. So he throws his elbow up and thrusts forward with his body to kind of meet him. Johansson actually puts on a hard stop and Marchand flies by elbowing him.

If that's his story, I could KIND of buy it, but think he's looking at 1-3 given his history.

Edit: The Bruins got really lucky last night. They had no business getting any points out of that game. I don't know if they (as said above) turtled around the goalie because McAvoy was out, or if McAvoy is that much of a difference maker, but it didn't look good.
