Great win. Finally making mabrowndogs chili from the SoSH cookbook and it smells delicious. And a Pats playoff game.

Today has started well.

Went to the game yesterday (I'm a Flyers fan - don't hate me) and it was the first time I've been in the TD Garden. I have a question: does the Garden have an issue with the ice surface?

I ask because in all of my 45 years of attending NHL games, I've never seen as many missed plays (by both teams) where the puck hits a dead spot or a rut in the ice, causing a turnover. And the near-constant army of workers out on the ice removing snow during every TV break is another thing I've never seen before. So my first impression was/is that there is a significant issue with ice quality there, and I was just wondering if this is a thing or my imagination.

BTW, the analysis in this thread was pretty accurate relative to the in-game experience. Oh, and the game (or maybe just the Flyers defense) sucked. ;)

I don't think the ice surface at the Garden is great, but I don't think it is much worse than any of the other multi-purpose arena's in the league. I didn't see the game yesterday though, maybe it was bad? The Celtics were on the road Friday, not sure if there was another event at the Garden Friday night. Sometimes the bad ice can be noticeable on matinee's played the day after a basketball game or other event with the floor down over the ice.

They've always had the bull gang come shovel off snow during tv timeouts. As far as I know the whole league does it, but I haven't been in any other rinks recently.

There was a Kings of Leon show that ended late Friday night. I think all NHL arenas have the ice quality suffer after a short time to get ready.

Edit: Aparrently the sex was on fire, and it made the ice shitty
