More everyone. 7 pm tip again.
Gonna miss this one as I have a soccer game. Hoping to check the score and see us up 15+.
Just win, baby!
No letup, pedal to the metal, Maul Miami!
Stay perfect in the New Year.
Hurt the Heat.
No local telecast of this one? According to the channel guide, there is no telecast on NBCSB, just the coverage on TNT tonight. Uggh. Not sure I've seen that this year, or at least I don't remember it. I thought Gorman and crew did every game, even when ESPN or another national outlet has it.
31-11 from here on out gets Brad a better record than last year once again. Let's do this!!
So essentially the pace they’ve played at the last 20 games.
pretty sure tnt is always exclusive, espn and nba tv almost never are in regular season
Love the Heat's Vice uniforms so much. Really a shame they don't use it as the primary: fits the city perfectly.
Chuck doesn't think they've figured anything out, shocker of all shockers.
Chuck's mouth is open and, coincidentally, he's saying dumb things.
Chuck literally didn't know that Kyrie was back for the Pacers game.
This Fiji bit is actually great.
Chuck is making an absolute fool of himself, and clearly hasn't been watching the games at all. This is kind of sad/awkward/embarrassing to watch.
I love Inside the NBA and Chuck but I have no idea what point they’re trying to make.
Hammer the Heat
I absolutely love the Miami Vice theme.
Defensive slugfest so far.
What the hell was that possession? Kyrie fumbles the ball up to Morris, who then drives to the hoop and misses the rim completely on the layup. Al is on the backside for the rebound and doesn't even seem to know it's coming. Leads to an open 3 on the other end.
D has been quite good; Heat making a few shots.
Lots of early shot clock threes. Have to hit the paint.
Come on Tatum. You got Whiteside on a switch, take him to the hole. Don't make two dribbles and then settle for a 15 footer on the baseline.
That was so bad, and so predictable. He also could have just reset to Morris at the top of the key; there were 11 or 12 seconds on the clock.
After they start hitting shots after moving the ball, you can see them battle in their head (Kyrie, Tatum, Marcus x 2 ) whether to work the offense with passes or take a quick open shots because they have been hot - and then they start missing shots and let the other team catch up
Tatum gonna Kobe, occasionally,
Tatum just got hammered on a 12 foot jumper, no call.
Bad Tatum tonight
Start Brown over Tatum until he gets his head out of his (and Kobe's) ass.
Really bad. Lots of settling from everybody tonight. I wonder if they just don’t have the energy and focus given it’s a shitty back to back.
Yeah, it's easy for us to armchair what they should be doing, but schedule losses are a real thing.
I don't understand why Brad plays Kyrie after he brings in Gordon and Theis. Gordon runs the offense, and Kyrie just stands in the corner most of the time. If you really want to manage his minutes, just bring in Terry and let Gordon still run the offense, and you'll at least be better on the defensive end. I also don't know why he brings in Kyrie on the other end, while leaving Rozier on the floor running the offense. if Kyrie is in the game, the ball should be in his hands, IMO.
It’s going to have to be the Kyrie show tonight, which is like watching Iron Man, and that’s fine, but you’d rather watch the Avengers, where everyone is involved and has a role.
There's some nice stuff they potentially could do with Gordon & Kyrie combined. The thing is, there isn't any practice time right now, so they have to just try and work some of it out on the floor.
Holy shit, did Jaylen Brown just get a blocking call in his favor? FINALLY. IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED?
I wouldn’t hate some TimeLord when Whiteside is in.
It's a way of "resting" him while he's still on the floor. He doesn't have to handle all of the playmaking load.
Terry, what in the everloving fuck was that?
Man they look like they got off the charter and went right to South Beach last night.
terry continues to be the most infuriating player on the roster. it’s beyond rational for me now. dude’s gotta fall in line.
Why bother leaving Kyrie in for the full 12 if Terry is going to come in and “take over” anyway?
It's almost like playing an emotionally intense game, getting on a plane, and landing at 3am is tiring.
Emotionally intense game? The game was over after 3 quarters.
Waiters loves torching the Cs
They got up hard for it and focused really hard through those quarters. If you don't think that takes significant energy, I'm not sure what to say.
This is a pathetic offensive performance.
WTF? What a mess on that break.
