I will be actually at this game. I will be sweating, but it's not because the Red Sox are in any kind of trouble. It will be because it's too damn hot out here. Eovaldi will get a chance at redemption after showing that he is a slow learner. Pedro wasn't all about hitting people, he was about mowing down pricks. Don't make the Braves be your daddy, Evo. Bring the Red Sox closer to the pennant, with you day of labor.

I maintained a cone of silence all day yesterday and sat down to watch the Sox on DVR at 10:30 PM. Getting the joke, I quickly sped up the DVR and had erased that abomination before 11. I waited all day for that?

I will be similarly unable to watch today's game live. But Sox-Braves will be followed along in real time, more or less. THAT change will, of course, be the difference maker.

Yesterday everything Sox related -- other than the glorious MFY loss -- was hideous. Very bottom of the 2018 pile. Today needs to be fun.

Trust the Pedro, Mr. Evoldi. Pitch accordingly and win.

I would consider it a victory if they lose by less than 10. They may never win another game.

So what are the odds Eovaldi pitches a scoreless 1st?

Please explain the connection to the Atlanta Braves. I am ignorant of this one.
    Geaux, Sox!!!!!!!!(TIA)
It should be as hot as Haiti when the game begins at 1:05. Is that it?

Equally stumped, I turned on my laptop to do a search google image and it's about the Braves pitcher today. How have the Sox been doing this year against kids they've not faced before? Better I hope than in recent years.

Edit, just skimming over the Results columns in BBREF Schedule and Results, the Sox have done well against kids they've never or barely seen. Of course, results against any demographic of pitchers this year should be very good for the Sox. No guarantees today, mileage may vary...

His incredibly small sample size looks kinda scary:

I will consider it victory if Eo is in the game long enough to get an at bat. By his recent standards, that means the Sox are going to have a big top of the 1st.

I’m checking out the new stadium. Just got boiled peanuts at Garden & Gun. If anyone has any Suntrust experiences, let me know.

    Go Sox. Yanks suck

No Jackie to help catch rockets. Oh it's Labor Day, not the Fourth. Braves two best hitters, Freeman and Markakis are LHH; 5 of 9 hit left or switch, so JD in right. National League.

the Braves' starter is a new type of pastry: Touki Toussaint.

Big game today. Braves are our MLB designated NL rival. Stakes are raised for a rivalry game.

Never liked the Braves. All those division titles back in the 90s and early 2000s and only one World Series victory to show for it. Plus their fans suck. Can’t count how many playoff games they had at Turner Field that weren’t sellouts. That’s a disgrace. Plus they build a new ballpark after the “old” one was in use for 20 years? Buncha spoiled brats. F ‘em.

I’m thinking Cora should swap Mookie and 10D in the order. Mook seems mentally tired.

The Winters of Al Zarilla's discontent. And it was close enough that many umps wouldn't just let the batter take there.

His stuff moves so much that I don't think he is capable of really efficient innings. Eovaldi seems like the kind of pitcher that teams will keep going after because he throws hard and has good movement. And in typical (pitching) coach hubris, each successive guy must think they are the one who can fix him.
