I am going to post in your disreputable thread once again, to make up for posting in last night's thread and putting it at the top.
I initially thought you were cursing your own eyes, which seemed odd. Now, 1/3 of a coffee in, I see exes, which makes more sense.
I liked Ann Richards from afar, but on little information. There is actually a one-woman play about her written by and starring originally Holland Taylor. I have never seen it. Have you? Maybe one of your exes has?
I'm actually still half-asleep, but anyway,
    Geaux, Sox!!!!!!!!

Today is the kind of day where the Sox should pick up a game on the Yankees. Chris F-ing Sale is pitching against Texas. Sale's last six games: 41.0 ip, 1.10 era, 0.73 whip, 14.5 k/9.

Meanwhile, the Yankees throw out there Sonny Gray against Baltimore. Gray's last five starts: 21.0 ip, 9.00 era, 1.90 whip, 8.1 k/9.

It's a good day to pick up a game against NYY. Let's get it done.

She had a couple of great lines about Dubya.

Born on third base and acts like he hit a triple.

    And

Born with a silver foot in his mouth.

Whip smart Texas lady no matter what your politics... but... in the spirit of the thread... fuck her and the horse she rode in on.

    Also:

    Let’s get number 9!

The MFY have a losing record against only two teams. One of them is the Orioles: 4-5.

That’s the point. New around here?

    RESPECT THE FUCKING STREAK!

Also, it looks like Colon could eat Chris Sale whole and not even have to loosen his belt afterwards. He may have to lower his hemline though.

I'm in favor of fucking your exes and the hateful NY Yankees. Though without pictures, I can't really choose the order.

Yesterday was Texas' only real chance at a win with the Hector Beeks Burger going for the Good Guys. Chris Sale? Please. Fuck off, Rangers.

Does bp prospectus or retrosheet keep track the greatest weight differential between two starting pitchers? This one might be a record.

I think some of those might actually originally be from Molly Ivins.

Doesn't matter, though, really, except to know this: If you liked Ann Richards, go find Molly Ivins. As a journalist, she had different commitments, which was a great boon to her word-smithing.

She wrote/talked that she absolutely loved Berkeley, but Berkeley didn't need her like Texas did.

I thought it was, "Fuck it all! Fuck this world! Fuck everything that you stand for!"

Also, be careful not to talk about that other baseball team in this thread or your posts will get deleted like one of mine the other day, which specifically mentioned the Jays and not the other team.

Loved Ivins, but Google says no one knows who made the "born on third, thought he hit a triple" remark first.

But we MIGHT know who said it about a certain specific person first such that it caught on...

But I haven't looked it up in some time, so my memory could be fuzzy.

The Googles say Hightower used it in 1988 referring to Bush Sr., but Coach Barry Switzer said it in '86. And somebody we never heard of may have said it first. It's a good un', though, whoever thought of it.

I approve of this new strategy of winning all the games before the Sale game and then winning the Sale game.

My guess is Colon baffles the Sox because that's just how it goes. Sale has another great game but ends up with the ND again. Sox break through against bullpen. Fingers crossed.

The 'Born on third base' one was Jim Hightower, who was TX Agricultural Secretary and was talking about Dubya's dad in '88. Barry Switzer had said it before him though, and that's probably where he got it from.
