    PGA Championship- Quail Hollow

It's crazy how out-of-sync Dustin Johnson has been since his slip / back injury at the Masters. Pre-Masters he won 4 times and post injury...no wins and nothing special. Perhaps he turns it around this week...but I didn't pick him Draft Kings. Note the PGA is live streaming on pga.com.

Roger up another break in the second set; according to the Wimbledon Radio broadcast Roger looks 'unbeatable'.

If (when?) Andy loses the stars certainly seem to be aligning for Roger...Novak has been complaining of shoulder soreness off and on through his first few matches. FYI: The recent John McEnroe / Bill Simmons podcast is worth a listen. John, as usual, has an opinion on any / every subject...

    Tennis 2017

Wow! Down goes Nadal. Quite an upset. Credit to Muller...who will probably lose in straight sets in the next round due to the length of this match. I'm surprised Roger F. had such an easy time (straight set win) against #13 seed G. Dimitrov.

Is Nadal sluggish...or getting old? Muller is 34 so it's not like some young 18 y.o. kid is running Nadal off the court. Following the 5 set closely here at work....

    Tennis 2017

Well, well, well...after a boring first week at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club all of a sudden R. Nadal finds himself down 2 sets to none to journeyman Gilles Muller. Muller is left-handed which negates a lot of the Nadal advantages.

    2017 US Open- Erin Hills

The live streaming from the US Open site / www.usopen.com / works perfect with no sign up or log in to cable accounts. The streaming is limited to 'feature groups' but hey, for ease of use and one-click accessibility no complaints from this boring work desk...

    2017 US Open- Erin Hills

Lo and behold, per live streaming as US Open.com, the wind is blowing. A. Scott just hit a driver a short 285 yards into the wind. Expect the scores to go way up this afternoon. Hot take alert: Jordan Speith will not win another major; he is a short inaccurate driver of the ball (ranked...

    2017 US Open- Erin Hills

Legit shocked that the scores are so low so early. The USGA must be quaking in their Foot-Joys that the winning score could be -20 like at the Whistling Straights PGA a few years ago. Course length alone is not a defense against elite golfers today. Best hope for the USGA is that the wind...

    2017 US Open- Erin Hills

Fantastic that the USGA is trotting out another new course; the winning score could be anywhere between even par to -10 depending on the wind / weather. My only complaint is that the short drivers are already at a disadvantage from the first tee on Thursday. My DK squad is full of long...

    Jaylen Brown - underrated?

It's really early to say 'overrated' or not on J. Brown; a reminder that Chauncey Billups, a former # 3 pick, had a great career after being ushered out of town. One thing that was not overrated was the Jaylen Brown pre-game speech to the crowd on MLK day. To recite MLK quotes from memory...

    Celtics Preseason

Not sure it was a bad offer....Noel was .521 shooter / 11 ppg / 8 rpg / 1.5 blocks (!) last year compared to a lazy, laid back wing with no motor who can't shoot. Reminder this criticism comes from a teammate who plays the same position; not a talking head. The question was supposed to be a...

    Celtics Preseason

Not good at all...Jae Crowder just called Jaylen Brown lazy and laid back and that he needs to find his motor in an interview with Mike G. and The White Mamba. Ugh. Not words I want to hear about the #3 overall pick. Pre-season of your first year is not the time to mail it in. That Philly...

2016 Ryder Cup - Hazeltine National GC

The Ryder Cup golf today is some 'Captains Challenge' (?), the real matches start tomorrow. Wonder if the Captains Challenge pairings are a ruse to throw off the other team or real pairings for tomorrow? As for the Boston crowd in '99 I was lucky enough to be there and Colin M. turned around...

2016 Ryder Cup - Hazeltine National GC

Ryder Cup is the perfect format for Rory; if he 3-jacks a green or two not a big deal. Plus in the odd RC formats w/ partners some of his playing companions can sink putts. A reminder that Rory won the World Match Play in 2015 and finished 4th this year.

2016 Ryder Cup - Hazeltine National GC

I read the GD article when published and agree that these 'flaws' are basically non-existent. DJ bad from the sand - never noticed while watching him win the US Open, WGC event and Crooked Stick Fed-Ex tourney. Only one I'd agree with the the Jordan S. putting; his holing every putt in 2015 is...

2016 Ryder Cup - Hazeltine National GC

ABB...anybody but Bubba for the last pick. There is no pouting in golf. Watson was 0 -3 in the last Ryder Cup at Gleneagles (though getting stuck with Webb Simpson didn't help). Furyk, with his 'fairways and greens' game is a safe but boring pick. With the US losing 6 of the last 7 Ryder Cups...

Hmmm...losing in the quarterfinals is a long way (three matches), against top-tier opponents, from hoisting the Wimbledon trophy. Also, at age 31, Father Time is working against Stan. Not that I'm rooting against the guy but I'll stand by my stanment (Stan + statement) that he will not win, or...

    2016 US Open (Tennis)

A most impressive U.S. Open win by Stan. Losing the first set to both Nishikori and Djokovic, both with a shocking amount of unforced errors, is a hurdle not many other players overcome. With Stan's weak chip return of serve (his worst shot by far) I do not see Stan ever winning Wimbledon; an...

So predictable...Djokovic up 4 - 0 on Monfils. At least Stan W. has that 'giant killer' vibe if he ends up facing Djokovic in the finals. 20% of shots by Stan so far in the tournament have been winners (!).
