How about that? Sox are Champs for the fourth time this century

My father tonight... “All I ever wanted was to see one. Four? That’s too much. This is too much.” You deserve it, Pop.

    ESPN Is Pathetic

Anyone else watching the LIN vs Mavs game on ABC/ESPN right now? It looks like ESPN is trying to pay back to the Asain culture simply by doing close up shots of random Asain fans going nuts after an exciting Lin play. It's pretty funny, actually. I'm sure it's purely coincidental. [/rolling eyes]

    ESPN Is Pathetic

Agreed. The guy was a robot as he said the line. If he smirked or even acknowledged after the fact what he just said, then it would have come off much worse. The clip reminded me of Ron Burgandy a bit, reading whatever is put in front of him.

On Friday I was listening to Mad dog radio on xm on my drive home. Dan Graca (who I think is a meat stick anyhow) dropped this same line when talking about Lin and the possibility of him having a bad game that night. He knew what he said immediately and everyone in the studio busted a gut...

Man, you handled that a lot better than I think I would have. I've been hit/nicked like that on many occasions over the years. A few times on purpose-- followed by some heated verbal exchanges. It is funny how a scrawny, defenseless runner wearing short-shorts can extract the worst behavior from...

It would be pretty hard to heel strike at sub 4:40 mile pace. Almost as hard as running a 1:01 half marathon up heartbreak hil. . . Insane.

Nate Jenkins-- "Nobody Hits Harder Than Life" Has anyone else read the most recent blog entry of local legend Nate Jenkins? Holy crap did I found it incredibly inspiring. My heart was beating so fast-- It got me the most excited about running that I have been in the past two years. The message...

It is never easy, huh? Well, tapper time is probably the best place (if forced by gunpoint) to take some time off. The hardest thing is trying not to push too hard through a cold/flu. That is where it would stick with you, the smallest effort gets exemplified greatly. But it sounds like you...

I count my mileage weird. Something I picked up in college-- as to not obsess over the bottom line each week. We would run in 15min increments and count it as 2 miles. So you'd count every run as if it was run at 7:30 pace. Even though in all likelihood most days would be faster. It all...

Sorry for the late reply. Just saw this today. Yeah, I still run... I've had a couple injury plagued years though. I've jumped back up on the horse recently. My last season in college (spring '07) ended bitterly and early with a laterally torn planter fascia, which I ran on for 4 months. That...

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this. I don't know if anyone else on here has heard about "Buster" martin, the 101-year-old Englishman who is going to run the full London Marathon in April. Pretty cool. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/living/20...thon.runner.cnn An hours run, work a...

Speaking of Baystate, I heard through the grapevine that they received the bid this past Monday for the USATF-NE 08' marathon championship. Between the Hilly-as-hell BoF 10k, the incredible hot Newburyport 10M, and the notoriously long Ollie, looks like a tough year. March 16 New...
