Related to Hank? F yeahIs he more of a FS or CB? Decent RAS (8.97; ~100 out of ~1000, so top ~10%), especially for this point in the draft. Sub-4.5 40.

I’m thinking oppositeInteresting that the combine had him listed at FS. Wonder if he can develop into a true centerfielder to let them bring Dugger back closer to the line.
For the olds in the room, the Pats actually used their first SEVEN selections on offensive players in 1969:
I vaguely remember the Carl Garret pick almost causing the Grandfathers of Sam Horn board to explode for taking an RB from a small school so high……For the olds in the room, the Pats actually used their first SEVEN selections on offensive players in 1969:
1-6. Ron Sellers, WR, Florida
2-32. Mike Montler, C, Colorado
3-58. Carl Garrett, RB, New Mexico Highlands
5-110. Onree Jackson, QB, Alabama A+M
7-162. Rick Hackley, OT, New Mexico State
8-188. Bob Gladiux, RB, Notre Dame
9-209. Steve Alexakos, OG, San Jose State
Free safety with his skillset makes sense.Ok yeah, this makes more sense as a cover safety, which is something they need. A lot of guys who don't quite possess the elite corner speed turn out to be pretty good cover safeties, and this would be a good addition in that role.
Here's the quick and dirty ESPN write up on him:
Dial started 29 games over the past three seasons and had 31 passes defended over the past three seasons. He has good length and top-end speed. He is physical, has good instincts and is competitive at the catch point. -- Steve Muench
Like, ok, that totally works for a cover safety. Decent size, good top end speed for that position, is highly competitive, and is physical. I like it.

On three, everyone through your snowball at Gary Cuozzo! Five minutes later: "Attention, if any more snowballs are thrown at the Vikings bench, this game will be suspended by the officials here."Those Harvard stadium games were fun. That team sucked but the parties in the stands were great.
It's an assumption, yes. In my opinion it's a pretty reasonable assumption given that Polk was the 10th receiver picked and DeJean was the 3rd corner and was snapped up 3 picks later by an excellent front office and was widely given high marks by most sources. But to have this opinion, you have to assume that they didn't see Polk as the BPA there, and that's a huge assumption with no basis in anything.
Easily could happen.Looking forward to the “Joe Milton will never make it to the practice squad” debates in August when he’s on the roster bubble.
Wolf learned this from his father who always kept taking QB's when he had a prime Brett Favre.I LOVE this pick. Not because I’m down on Maye (far from it) but because I like having another young guy with some legit tools that could be a backup or, if he really improves his weaknesses, a potential starter. Good insurance pick for Maye but also could be a guy you trade down the line. Very interesting.
But all he has to do is beat out Zappe, right? They'll keep 3 QBs, I would think.Looking forward to the “Joe Milton will never make it to the practice squad” debates in August when he’s on the roster bubble.
Or in Mac's case:Take a QB.
Develop a QB.
Trade a QB.
Rinse and repeat.
