*This is what I call it when a guy just throws the puck wildly into corners or into space with zero useful intent or patience.
Marchand took a cross check to the back of the head by the Make-Believes' net that buckled him.
He was saying "2 for that?" To the linesman/ref as he headed to the door. Don't want to read into it nor expect the worst but...
Giving the Leafs a power play on fresh ice to start the 3rd sucks - especially after the things they've let go. I don't know how you can ignore the cross checking by the Leafs and expect tempers not to heat up.
I don't know that it was, was responding to the lip reading above. I shouldn't jump the gun - save my complaints for when it's been posted...
Yeah, even if he said “2 for that?”, it could have been preceded by “How does he not get...” There’s nothing useful there to determine anything.
Anyone else debating things like, “am I allowed to uncross my legs” or “can I drink this beer with my left hand”?
Seems like the last 10 minutes of the period they were on their heels. Not really attacking the forecheck. Just attempting to defend and dumping the puck into the corner. They have to remember to attack on the forecheck instead of packing it in. Need to clear the puck a lot better and turn defense into offense. Leafs will start to pinch their defensemen into the rush and odd man rushes will show themselves if given the chance.
I'm at a bar and debating my choice of beer (had the same beer for the first and second)...
They got the good side shift change in the 3rd. Just need to break even. They can do it.
I have the Winter Classic jersey on standby, still sporting the home black, though.
