Haha, fair enough. I was just doing the "aggrieved fan" routine at the couple of posts above that took shots at the team for their lack of focus. Of course it's not remotely shocking that they won, but still impressive (to me) how they got after it on both ends from the opening tip. With the notable exception of the 2016 Finals, whenever they've been threatened in the Kerr era (Memphis 2015, Cleveland 2015, OKC 2016, Houston 2018, e.g.) they've come up similarly big.
More broadly: while I totally buy that the league has caught up to them compared to a couple years ago (right now I think Houston and the Big 4 in the East all look capable of taking them down, which is five more teams than could have realistically hung with them in the 2017 playoffs) I don't really buy most of the going psychoanalysis about the fragility of their mental state or lack of focus relative to previous seasons. If anything, I think they're in better psychological shape than they were heading in to the playoffs last season, with Curry still recovering from an MCL and the team having lost 10 of its last 17 games.
In terms of personnel, I think they're about where they were last season, too, though obviously the loss of Cousins hurts their depth and versatility. I think slimmed-down Bogut (looking like a coup by Myers and co., if he can stay healthy) plus blown-up Kevon Looney is at least on par with last year's West/Zaza/JaVale trio; and McKinnie/Jerebko probably beats Swaggy P. Andre and Shaun are both a year older, but so far (knocking wood) both looking spry. Their overall net rating is better than it was last season, as is their turnover rate (a decent proxy for "focus," I would think).
Most notable change relative to last season imho is the level of competition, particularly coming out of the East.
