Week 1: Tied Steelers 21-21, easily could have won
Week 2: Missed game tying 41 yard field goal at the end of regulation, lost 21-18
Week 4: Aforementioned Oakland game, 45-42 loss
Week 7: Lost 26-23 in OT at TB; had ball at TB 45 in OT after a pick but went 3 and out

Of course they shouldn't have won all of these. And on the flip side they had the 1 point win last night and the 12-9 OT win over the Ravens. So their record is basically deserved, maybe they should be 7-6-1 or 7-5-2 or whatever. But if things had broken correctly for them instead of 6-7-1 they really could be something like 9-5.
Yes, the one game that was a true screw job that really should have been a win was the Oakland game. The refs left their imprint there. In the other games, the Browns failed to convert, whether it was the kicker or the offense in Tampa.

But that Raider game was an incredible example of the refs imposing their will on a game to change the result. The Browns won that game with their play and the refs said, "Nope, you will lose."

Isn't Kenny Albert higher up the pecking order at Fox than Chris Myers? Albert and Ronde Barber are calling Cardinals-Falcons today, while Myers and Daryl Johnston are doing Packers-Bears, which seems a bit strange to me. I've noticed a number of unusual broadcasting assignments this year, at least to my mind, relative to previous years - e.g., last week Kevin Burkhardt (#2 at Fox) was doing Packers-Falcons instead of a game involving at least one likely playoff team, while Nantz and Romo haven't always been on the best CBS game of the week. I wonder why that is, or if it's just me?

What do you know. They get rid of the OC, they run the ball, Dalvin Cook makes a big play, play action pass touchdown to Diggs, and the Vikes make their first drive look easy against the Dolphins.

Are you kidding me on the camera work in the Colts/Cowboys game? They cut away twice from the action including a crowd shot with a live ball, and a fight for the fumble. And yet it leads to a call of TD on the field. This is worse than Pats/Titans Week 16 2015.

The camera work was on par with the refs.

Raiders-Bengals, Bills-Lions and Falcons-Cardinals ... it's like a game of FMK, without the F or the M

Hmm, more running by the Vikings. I'm extra pissed off about this, seeing as how I got eliminated last week, and I've had Dalvin Cook on my Dynasty team since he was drafted. I want to kill the Vikings coaching staff. That's his first rushing td of the year.

That might have been the worst fail at an attempted catch I've ever seen. (In the Cowboys game.) Not sure he even managed to get his hand on what looked like a pretty good pass.

Football is crazy.

The Dolphins beat the Patriots (of course, after getting blown out by them earlier in the year). The Patriots beat up the Vikings. And now, of course, the Vikings are blowing out the Dolphins.

The only common denominator: The home team is doing all the ass-whooping.

If the Colts and Titans can win tough games today, then the 2nd Wild Card is very likely to come from the South, which means one of the Steelers or Ravens will not make the playoffs.

This Gaints game should end around 5:00 PM at this rate.

Edit: And another fucking ref huddle. We should catch the 2nd quarter of the Pats game at this rate.

If all current results stand and if NE were to win tonight, they would be a perfect 6-0 against playoff teams.

Block in the back penalities are so stupid and need to be out of the game.
Yeah, I'm curious about this too? Do you mean that players are stupid for committing them, and they shouldn't happen, or you think the rule is stupid and blocks in the back should be allowed? If it's the former, I agree with you, but obviously, it doesn't stop players from doing it, and if it's the latter, I vehemently disagree for safety and competitive reasons. If guys could start blocking in the back, scores would be 100-95.

Dolphins not defending their Super Bowl title very well today.
Best case scenario is they finish 9-7, out of the playoffs and end up with shitter draft positioning.

But the best part is how we'll hear "They won 4 of their last 5, finished strong and this will propel them to bigger and better things next year"...…….

Yeah, sure it will.

Minkah Fitzpatrick with a pick-6 for Miami, and it leads to a touchdown celebration by the Dolphins DB's, who mock the SKOL cheer in Minnesota. Probably not the ideal time to do that, when you're still down 21-7, but the Vikes have inexplicably gone away from running the ball, so I suspect they'll let Miami back into this relatively soon.

The cradle of the game.
How can there be 9 games - 18 teams - on the field right now, and not one of them has any relevance* to the Pats' playoff situation.

Not even a bad weather game to ogle at.

*7-6 bottom-feeders aside

Because they played on Thursday or yesterday?
